Some comments to recap…

 

Port: Baltimore is a 4 ish hour drive to port for us.  LOVE that.   Courtyard Marriot is super convenient with park & cruise option.  Port parking looked easy from what I could tell. Embarking and Debarking were smooth and fast.

 

Ship:  Vision is older and smaller than most in the fleet.  Shows her age but is well kept.  It did not feel too small for us and has many of the fan favorite venues.  Missed the Pub a little.  Love that there are tons of windows that help to make you feel like the spaces are larger and keep that connection with the ocean. Crew was great!

 

cabin - JS is good size.  It didn’t feel too far off from other JS’s on other class ships.  Didn’t feel cramped.  slow shower drain was really all i can complain about.  Showers ended up being a foot bath. 

 

Itinerary:  Bermuda is awesome.  I like the overnight but wished there was more time there, especially the second day.  Wish it was longer!!  I wish royal had the longer Itinerary like NCL does with 2 overnights and a full day.  I would be ALL over that.

Food - we went to all the specialty restaurants at least once and never were dissatisfied or left hungry.  Izumi was our favorite on this one for both lunch and dinner.   Chops lunch was also a standout.  Won’t comment too much since food is very subjective.

 

Did not step foot in MDR.

 

Stopped in WJ twice.  Don’t like the setup of the WJ with the buffett station right inside the entrance and in the middle.  Too much congestion IMO.   Very unpleasant at busy times.  

 

Park Cafe - pizza and paninis.  salads and desserts/cookies too.  Not bad for a quick between meal snack but nothing special.

Thank you for doing this review. I’m hoping to find a sailing that works for our schedule and sails out of Port Canaveral so it’s just a 90 minute drive for us. I agree that I’d prefer two full days there as opposed to the two half days that you had. There’s so many great places to go in Bermuda and so many things to do but so little time to spend there!

I found this live while scrolling through. I love Vision (it's only a 2.5hr drive for me to Baltimore).

 

Seeing all of those pics of Bermuda has opened back up the longing of going back. I received a comp email last week for a 6 night in Bermuda April 2025 (3 days in Kings Wharf). Every way I looked at it I couldn't see how I could add it on to the too many cruises I already have booked for next year (14 as of right now).

 

So, I closed the email and forgot about it. After reading this review and seeing your awesome pictures, I grabbed my phone and started frantically digging through my emails trying to remember which cruise line offered me the comp!!🤣Found it, it was MSC out of NY!

 

I'm definitely booking it Monday morning!!

One of my girlfriends who cruises with me frequently has been saying… what about that Bermuda cruise?? I know you can fit that in, we have to go on that one! 😂
