It was our favorite on Vista too.

If you like Asian I suspect you will like Red Ginger on Vista.

We love good Asian food and really are looking forward to dining there on the Marina. Tamarind on the newer HAL ships is our favorite of any specialty restaurants on any cruise so far.

Jim, I have followed your LIVEs on the Celebrity board for years (usually in lurker mode) and always enjoy them.  Oceania has been on my radar for awhile, so I have been especially enjoying following along on your journey.  I am impressed by what I am seeing.  Thanks for sharing your vacation with us.

You will LOVE Red Ginger. It was one of our favorite meals on Vista. My favorite specialty on Riviera was Jacques... probably because I love classic French cuisine. You'll have that one on Marina as well. I don't know if it's on all the ships but one thing I loved on both Vista and Riviera was the channel on the stateroom TV that showed episodes of his cooking show.

Please!!!  I beg of you --- please stop telling people how good the Terrace is.

Please. It's the only place I eat on O, and now you're spoiling it for me by telling all these people.

STOP IT.

NOW!!

Please???

I will put a note on your door before we head out.  We have been here before, so we will be walking around.  Maybe lunch if we can find a place that isn't maxed out.  Over 8000 extra people in town today.  Your fish and chips looked good the other day, but we were pretty wet by lunchtime so we returned to the ship.

Kim & Ed,

We got your note. Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow and sharing a bottle of wine.

Our standouts in the Grand Dining Room last night were the Caesar Salad, Pistachio Souffle with Cherry Sauce, and Chocolate Charlotte.

Tonight we will be back at Toscana.

We took a ship's tour to The Butchart Gardens this morning. It was nice being there before the big crowds arrived. Having never been there before, it was a beautiful way to spend the day. The bus driver also did an excellent job pointing out the landmarks along the way to the gardens & back to the ship.

Downtown is only 1 mile from the cruise port.   We decided to walk it to get in our steps.

Most of the walk was in tree lined residential streets.   We really enjoyed the mixture of architecture and fund artsy neighborhoods.

It started to drizzle so we found a nice bench under a tree and watched the Ducks and Geese.

After all these days I finally looked at the tv Menu offering.   Really well done

I was really impressed with the room service menu available 24 hours a day for all room types.

Our only time in Victoria years ago we had reservations for afternoon tea at the Empress, but the day we visited the workers went on strike and the hotel had to close. The Victoria Empress is almost as famous as the Fairmont Frontenac in Quebec City, which we got to visit last month.

We loved our afternoon tea at the Fairmont Frontenac 2 years ago on our previous O cruise. We really want to go back to Quebec City.
