Can the balcony partition be opened between Porthole with Veranda cabins?

Hello @Grin0556 and welcome back to the Cruise Critic website & message boards! I see it has been quite a while since you have posted!

Thank you for your new thread on the Ask s Cruise Question forum. However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry was off topic there since it concerns a specific cruise line ship.

To help you out, your new thread has been moved to the Celebrity Cruises forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed Celebrity Beyond frequent this forum and provide the type of feedback you are looking for.

The Cruise Critic website and message boards are both great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are so glad you are posting again! Please click here Cruise Critic Community for all our discussion forum categories. I suggest you put the page link in your browser's Favorites for quick & easy access in the future. Please read a few threads in the various forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there.

Hope this will be helpful and glad to have you back aboard Cruise Critic!

Happy sails,

Host Kat

What kind of balcony are you asking about.  The porthole is what is called a sheltered(Cunard) or cove(Carnival) balcony.  If you are talking about the Infinite Verandah cabins, they do not have a traditional balcony separated from the cabin interior.  The verandah is an extension of the cabin with a floor to ceiling window that opens.  Thus,  no balcony divider to open.  EM

I am asking about the Deluxe Porthole Balcony which is exclusive to Beyond. It has a traditional balcony with a glass sliding door. The view off the balcony is through a much enlarged porthole. There are partitions between balconies. I wonder if these can be opened.

Your question was already answered.

They cannot be opened. There are solid steel walls between the verandas rather than a divider.
