A friend is currently on Sun Princess and was meant to fly back to Seattle tomorrow and then join us to sail home on Majestic. Well, that’s not happening now…as he said “Far worse places to be stuck,”

Wow, that's surprising. The Catch on Enchanted was outstanding!

I am also so surprised.  We also went back for a second time last night and sat in the balcony area.  It’s our favorite table there are we were granted our request.  We did go early, though so perhaps the loud music was later in the evening.  We thought the food, service and overall atmosphere were all outstanding.

Be prepared for the glut of people that have the premier package on you sailing.  You may not get into the restaurant of your choice at the time you want.
If you like Chinese food, Harmony might be your best bet.  I, like others have mentioned, think the food there is outstanding.  I just ask for some red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños to add spice.
Oddly enough for us, we tried the Crown Grill on this cruise and it was also outstanding, so much so, we made a reservation for tonight, as well.  The Catch is still one of my all time favorites, though.  Here I thought I would be going to specialty dining only a couple or few times and we’ve found ourselves going almost every night.  It’s easy to do on this cruise because so few people have the premier package.  Your cruise is different and so many people will have that package.  I’m sure they will figure something out for everyone, though.  You just can’t beat the service on this cruise .. or the food, IMO!
Sushi lunch will be served as a pop up, probably in the location of the Catch.  It’s not served at Ocean Terrace like on the Discovery.
we finally grabbed a bite to eat at the buffet and wow, even that was outstanding.  Well, they did have my chicken wings, after all.   They also had a table of “grilled to perfection” vegetables with a balsamic vinegar glaze.  So yummmm!
And no, there is no Wheelhouse Bar or Explorers Lounge on the Majestic.

Already made specialty reservations for both nights…hopefully we can squeeze in Alfredo’s, sushi, and afternoon tea as well!

Majestic is a bit of the odd duckling of the Royal class - some misses (running/walking track has an odd arrangement, no pizza by the pool), but some wins as well (noodle bar by the pool is decent to good, area forward of the Hollywood Pool is relaxing).

To that end, I wonder how long until Princess converts that area in front of the Hollywood Pool into the Sanctuary and charges for it.  In a way, its better in northern climates since its climate controlled with great views - really the only Princess ship other than the Coral/Island with a forward looking, climate controlled viewing area.

Majestic also has the best sports bar in the fleet (which isn't saying much), but the Double Down bar (which there are rumors will eventually be crooners?) has a wall of TVs for watching whatever live sports the ship can get and smoking isnt allowed for those looking to avoid the casino bar.

As such, I personally rate her higher than the Royal/Regal, and maybe just a hair less than the Sky/Enchanted/Discovery.

In case you didn’t know, here is your official PSA that I have only ONE more work day to get through!!!!!

Today was training and recertification for my Narcan use and administration for my (crazy) city gig. Sad that this has become such an integral, everyday part of the job…

I do love your shenanigans, and mam here for them! Safe travels ❤️

I was just telling @YVRteacher that there will be no shenanigans or excessive drinking on this trip. I don't think she believes me...

Silver cowboy boots or no silver cowboy boots? These boots have seen me through some fun times. 😉I didn't take them last weekend as I didn't think HAL was ready for it - but, honestly, they would have stood up well on that dance floor.

I really hope someone will walk past the Concerto dining room deck 6 (walk in) and see if the queues are horrible or if they are non existant now that everyone has Premier and they are going to SD every night!

One more (very busy) work day then I’m off until Tuesday! (Monday is Thanksgiving here in Canada). I’ve still got to pick up some goodies on my way home tonight- my BFF working onboard still doesn’t know I’m sailing yet…shhhh. I also need to get everything organized for the kiddos for the two days I’m gone - ironically, I get back Saturday morning and my teen leaves Saturday afternoon to fly up to Prince George to spend the long weekend with her friend (who she met many years ago on NCL Bliss).

It’s going to be a long day!

Someone gave me an airport lounge pass and I was too busy drinking whiskey so missed all the sky action.

Guess who is cruising with @ceilidh1

Me!!!

I will be the one organizing the library while @ceilidh1 is shenaniganing.

You’re coming to the dark side. I bet you don’t even manage to find the library on this ship…you’ll be far too busy dancing!

I have a long list of things to do before I go to bed in about 10 minutes (stupid o’clock start tomorrow). Of course, now is also the time my teen decides she needs me to help with her college applications. Sigh. After about 5 minutes of me being of zero help, I managed to reduce her to tears and a “fine. I just won’t even bother to go to school then.” I don’t understand why this stuff is just so difficult, confusing, and overwhelming.
