AAAAmerican Posted September 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2006 Nothing yet was in either of our mail deliveries today. We have two normal deliveries daily . Our local postal office is great, the Union workers do a nice job and thru rain sleet snow and hail the mail does get through... Is the US Postal Service (Quasi Government) going to have Sunday deliveries? Some USPS Offices near here are finally open nightly to Seven PM (7 PM) at night. But not Sunday and Saturday till only Two PM (2PM). A few banks are even open on Sundays here for full lobby services ..notary.. accounts.. traveler checks ..currency ...and drive in services too. We live in the only county (Bergen) of twenty one whish still have the blue laws here. Yes most everything is closed on Sunday by NJ and County Laws. But Monday will be here soon enough and hope it (Mariner) is in those deliveries.:D

kirkc Posted September 9, 2006 #9 Share Posted September 9, 2006 I haven't seen one of those magazines in over a year since we moved to our new house. And yes...I changed my address on the web site, but I really think that HAL is computer challenged most times.
the2ofus Posted September 9, 2006 #10 Share Posted September 9, 2006 Mine came on Tuesday. I feel so special! Will be on board Zaandam in just four weeks!!
WNYCRUISER Posted September 9, 2006 #11 Share Posted September 9, 2006 Have not received the last two or three Mariner magazines, so I'm not holding my breath that I will get one this time.
cruznon Posted September 9, 2006 #12 Share Posted September 9, 2006 After three HAL cruises, we've only received one Mariner magazine...ever. (The issue featuring the christening of the Noordam.) Is there a magic number of cruises before you get magazine on a regular basis?
duck tune Posted September 9, 2006 #13 Share Posted September 9, 2006 We have not received Mariner Magazines in a long time and forget trying to remember how long it has been since we received special promotions via email!! DH and I have called HAL, written, emailed and done just about everything to get our email address changed (it happened 6 months + ago) and they still can't get it right. We have lived in this house almost 26 years so it's not because we moved either:confused:
Dog Mommie Posted September 10, 2006 #14 Share Posted September 10, 2006 You mean HAL really HAS a magazine??? Could have fooled me! We've read about it, but have NEVER seen it! E-mails??? They do e-mails??? Gee. it would seem if they can send us docs, they could send us the magazine, promos, etc.

Krazy Kruizers Posted September 10, 2006 Author #18 Share Posted September 10, 2006 kirkc You really need to call HAL and tell them your new address - their web site never picks up anything like that.
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 10, 2006 Author #19 Share Posted September 10, 2006 When we first cruised HAL, years ago, we did get the magazine quite regularly. Then they stopped coming for a few years and we began to complain. Besides our calling Seattle, our TA also began calling Seattle. About 1 1/2 years ago we finally got back on the list and have been getting them.
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 10, 2006 Author #20 Share Posted September 10, 2006 AAAAmerican Mail 2 times a day????!!! Not here - our mailman can't even get to all the homes on his route in a timely manner once a day. Most days we don't get mail until VERY late in the day. SNOW --- here in western PA if we do get a big snowfall - no mail on our route.
lougee1043 Posted September 10, 2006 #21 Share Posted September 10, 2006 have not received one in a very long time---i know that hal cant send a mag to everyone but you would think they would send one to those people that have a cruise on the books the mariner pdf mag on the hal web site is for spring
May4 Posted September 10, 2006 #22 Share Posted September 10, 2006 I haven't received my Mariner Mag. as of yet, but Seattle's a long pony express ride from Florida.:p Perhaps I'll find it tomorrow stuck in between the mountains of Christmas catalogues that are arriving lately en masse. RuthC Posted September 10, 2006 #23 Share Posted September 10, 2006 I haven't received the new one yet, but almost don't care if I ever do. They aren't at all like they used to be. Once upon a time they had some interesting articles in them---news on what's going on at HAL, short- and long-range plans, that sort of thing. Lately they seem to be promos, ads, and itineraries. They're just another brochure, it seems.

Sueseb Posted September 10, 2006 #25 Share Posted September 10, 2006 Dog Mommie, I know how you feel --except that we haven't moved and yet have never received a Mariner magazine! Maybe tiles from the Zaandam don't count!
