Came back from breakfast and had fresh squeezed OJ and two poached eggs on english mufins and two espressos...feel much better now than I did when I woke up!The seas continue to be a little choppy and some interesting swells as well forming as we are heading to Madras, india (Chennai).Not much on the menu for this morning so a nap might be in order...who knows!It is still very quiet on the ship this morning and even in the internet cafe it's not so busy here.More to follow later this morning from the Pacific Princess.Tony

Just got an update from the Navigational Bridge saying we have sailed 1120 nautical miles from Port Kelang so far and the weather forecast is calling for a high of 85F and partly sunny skies....Now the Internet Cafe is backed up like LAX.More to follow later today from the Pacific Princess.Tony

While getting that update we all just witnessed in the Internet Cafe a huge pod of approx. 40-50 dolphins by the ship...was an amazing sight!Ok, that's it.... signing off for a short time!Tony

I have just written a report but noticing your 'espresso I had a really good fat free Latte this morning made with the real coffee it was just $2.30 cheaper than Starbucks and very good on Island princess.:)

OK, lunch was a great get together...we muct have been about 15 people from CC in the Dinning Room. I had a great grilled chicken salad with a low fat dressing and a linguini pasta with fresh clams and crushed garlic and tomato sauce. For dessert was an ameretto cake with cinnamon ice cream and coffee....I am now ready to go on ANY treadmill for an hour.More to follow from the rough seas in the middle of the Bay of Bengal somewhere at sea on the Pacific Princess.Tony

OK got back from treadmill #5 after hoofing it for 50 minutes...now I am hal dead and deserve a drink!

 

going to go and shower and then hit the Club Bar or Casino bar for a drink....

 

The weather is not getting better at all and it's still raining and thundering and some lightning bolts as well!

Had a drink in the Club bar just now prior to dinner and had the Pomegranite Martini which was excellent!Going for dinner at 8:15pm and then attending a private dinner again at 10:30pm at one of the specialty restaurants...someone special is cooking for about 5 of us tonight onboard.The weather has cleared up some later this early eveing and the seas have improved somewhat as well although we do still have some big swells every now and then.Might go to the "Office" later tonight if I am not too tired!More to follow later tonight from the Pacific Princess.Tony

Hi from the Marriott in Tampa. Murray and Ro should be arriving here within the next half hour. Of course we'll do dinner tonight. Nothing like another meal before boarding a ship. Have fun at the office; I'll be checking out an "office" tomorrow night.

Good Morning from the port of Madras, India (Chennai).

 

We have actually arrived 2 hours earlier this morning in order for Indian Immigration Officials can board the vessel and the fun and games begin in trying to clear the ship.

 

If you look at the cruise cam currently you can see us being tied along the pier here in Madras, (Chennai).

 

Princess is providing a shuttle for $5.00 each direction into Madras which is only 3.5 miles away from the port. Some of the points of interests here in Madras, (Chennai) are the following;

 

Fort St-George, built in the 17th century, the fortress is home to the State Legislative Assembly and the oldest English church in India.

 

Government Museum, the museum is renowned for its collection of Tamil Nadu Bronzes.

 

San Thome Basilica; San Thome and St-Peter's are the only basilicas built over the tombs of Christ's apostles.

 

Mylapore Temple and Mahabalipuram and Kanchippuram are major ancient villages from teh 7th century.

 

Shopping here in Madras is suppose to be "interesting" and the main shopping area is called Anna Salai where you can find silk, jewellery, handicrafts, textiles, antiques, carpets, spices ad leather products....Javier wants me too look for Bed sheets if you can believe it for the new house....

 

I am planning on going into Madras, (Chennai) this morning around 9:00am with a couple of Indian crew members here onboard. Once I am back onboardlater this afternoon I am scheduled to get a facial at 5:45pm as we set sail at 6:00pm if everything goes to plan with Indian Immigration to clear the ship.
