Chops Reservations

Recommended Posts

When is the best time to make dinner reservations at Chops? Can you do it prior to boarding or does it have to be done on day of embarkation? Where do you make the reservationsand can they be done as soon as you board? Sorry for all these questions!

Thanks alot,

You have to wait until you board the ship..........suggest knowing in advance what day you want to dine and book as soon as you get on the ship.

We made our reservation shortly after boarding. Our first stop was the guest services desk to pick up the Cybercabin kit. Then we headed up to deck 11. Chops is located close to the entrance of the Windjammer and that's where we went. Reservations fill quickly, so it's best do to it asap. I did read something on CC recently that said ta's may soon be able to make reservations in advance, but I don't remember the details.

If you are in a GS cabin or higher, you can usually make your reservations in advance through the concierge on the ship. Otherwise do as suggested - go make them the afternoon that you board.

Or...If you are sailing with others that will be on the ship before you...perhaps they could make a reservation for you!

Just like everyone said, you have to wait until you board to reserve. We LOVE chops so we go upstairs, buy our coke cards, make chops reservations, then eat lunch.....in that order. As far as if you should eat there on a day at port vs. day at sea.....the only thing that me and my husband are very concerned about when it comes to this is what they are serving in the dining room. For instance, we won't eat at chops on lobster night in the dining room. Definately eat there though, it's so good.

IF they are willing to do that. IF they remember. IF their friends don't have a GS and get it all taken care of before boarding.

Generally, the best night to go to Chops is a night when you want to make your own time for dinner. If there is any evening when you have a long/late shore excursion, or other reason for not wanting to eat at your regularly scheduled time, THAT'S the perfect night to make a reservation at YOUR chosen time in a specialty restaurant.
