i have read on many past threads about the miracle taking top honors in the industry for many years in a row ( i believe it is the "eagle" award?).

 

anyway, does anyone know if this ship has continued to receive it, and if not, which ship got it instead?

 

It was there when we went in June TC. :D

Hey Miracle fans, can someone give me some information about the gym equipment on board?

 

Just got off the Miracle last Monday ...

 

The (rather short) jogging track is on Deck 11 Forward, 15.2 laps = 1 mile. Watch out for the mini-golfers!

 

Deck 10 serves well as a walking path; I calculated (pretty accurately, I believe) that 3 times around = 1 mile. It's best early in the day (6:00 - 10:00 AM) before all the deck chairs are out and it becomes crowded with sunbathers. On some mornings you will find the cleaning crews have portions of it blocked off for 1/2 hour or so.

 

I would *not* try jogging on Deck 10 - the surface can be quite slippery when wet. Its great for fast walking though.

 

I walked 3 miles (nine laps, Deck 10) nearly every morning somewhere between 6:00 and 8:00 AM. With each lap around the ship's bow, I got to look into the multi-level gym and rarely saw more than two or three people in there at that time of day.

 

While at sea, both of these decks can become quite windy, especially (obviously?) when walking/jogging towards the bow. Hold onto your hats; many (hats, that is) were blown overboard.

looks more like neon purple to me

 

lavender...purple....same same. i do like that color (one some things it goes well) but in general, i'd rather see less than more.

Hi all, thanks to Sandi for starting this thread.... My family (wife and 3 teenage daughters:eek: :eek: ) will be on the Dec 17/07 sailing. I have a question about casino... Do they have hold'em poker on the ship?? Are they using the new electronic tables or do they have regular poker tables.

Anyway, I don't think there is any possible way that we will have anything but the best of times. This may only be our fourth cruise, but the good things have far outweighed the bad.

Scoobie - We also were on the Miracle in Sept - they did have Texas Hold'em every day at sea and nights (they were always announcing it). We don't play that game, so I don't know about the "table" type you are speaking of; but I do know quite a few people were enjoying themselves! :)

I'm new to Cruise Critic and I don't know how I managed without it!

 

I don't see a cigar bar, specifically. But I looked through the Capers posted earlier and I'm pretty sure cigars are allowed in the sports bar (that won't make the DD happy). I'm pretty sure it noted they were allowed somewhere else, but I've already forgotten.

She is a really nice ships, it's all true what ppl say about her, veryyyy friendly staff and crew, btw who is the current matr'd(sp sorry), back in May we had Stripe, he was such a nice guy, The Captain was Antnio Marhetti, he was so quite and funny, and he drove that ship really well. Such a nice ship the Miracle I'm going on her in Jan, can't wait........:D

I've never been on the Miracle, but will be taking it from Ft. Lauderdale on 10/22/07. You posters are getting me very excited!!!! I can't wait!!!

Any other special tips, hints?

Go to my site...I have all things Miracle that I've collected....there is a section for the 10-22-07 cruise..........I have t-shirt pattern, cruiser tracker section, we have excursion groups forming, pre cruise hotel meet and greets ***** see you on board!!

The sports bar is the cigar bar. It's called Maquire's Sports Bar. You can also smoke in Sam's Piano Bar and Frankie and Johnnie's.
