They didn't have the topless deck on my sailing....I believe they did away with that.

We'll just have to see about that :p

Ok...what about parking at the pier...secured? Wouldn't want to have my car japped lol...

I don't know about the parking Liv cause we didn't take our car. We took a cab over to the terminal. Pete takes his car so I'm sure he can tell you if it's secure or not.

Are you going to be the one to start up a new topless deck? LOL!!!!!:D

My sister and I are cruising on the Miracle, leaving October 30 - for 8 day cruise. Looking forward to it - have our costumes for Halloween - should be a hoot.

Question: Exactly what risk do men take on a topless deck?

Ok, so this is good! I am getting Married in 2009 and unfortunately I cannot have my ideal cruise during January because the weather in Europe is not the best according to Carnival. :( Therefore my Fiancee and I are considering the Miracle itin. back to back in Jan 2009. I was skeptical because I have only been in large ships, (Valor and Liberty and Freedom) so I wanted our Honeymoon to be nice and memorable. I am glad to hear all of you love the Miracle, now I will consider the ship! :)

parking at the terminal was absolutly fine, we had no problem...one thing to keep in mind...my Dh dropped me and the kids off with the luggage at the front door of the terminal and he procceeded to park the car. the guy taking the money asked for our documents for the cruise, but i had them. they want to make sure everyone parking there is actually going on a ship. So, my husband showed him the directions we had to the termianl and he let him go in. also, no topless on this ship, but yes, adult only pool and they did kick out any kids in there and kept them out.

thanks for that (keeping the docs w/ you tip). last time we sailed out of ny we didn't drive ourselves. this time, we probably will. was there plenty of parking?

i live around here and know parking in manhattan can be a total nightmare. did you ever hear of anyone getting shut out? and do you recall how much it cost?

true cruiser

there is plenty of parking, you donthave to worry. it was 180.00 for the 8 days, i think 20 dollars per day. this is why they ask you for the docs, so only cruisers can use it...that is a bargain in manhatten. also, if i recall, you pay upon arrival and id have to check into this, i think its cash only. i know we paid cash, but ill get back to you on that. hope this helps.

WE will be going on MIracle for the special Xmas New year's cruise

Has anyone done this with Carnival before???

WE leave Xmas eve does that mean fancy clothes first night in my carry on

Any pointers on this cruise would be appreciated

We'll be with you on the Christmas cruise. I've never cruised Carnival before, but this itinerary and the Christmas AND New Years on a cruise proved irresistible to me.

We just got off the Miracle yesterday. There were 28 of us, all family and friends. This was my family's first Carnival cruise, and it turned out to be our best vacation ever!

Someone asked about the Cruise Director. Ours was Lenny Halliday. I thought he was pretty good. Funny, informative, and approachable.

Casino patrons: I loved the casino. After the first night, a host introduced himself and from then on, my drinks were comped. Generous cashback, and a nice variety of slots in various denominations. Tables were usually full, and it was a fun crowd every night.

We were in a balcony, midship, which was wonderful.

Dinner at Nick and Nora's was, in a word, "Outstanding".

We've only been on two other cruise lines, but after sailing on the Miracle, I would not hesitate to book another Carnival cruise.

So glad you had a great time. I loved the Miracle also. We sailed on her in June. I agree that Nick and Nora's was outstanding.

Which cabin did you have....we were also in a balcony midship by the atrium elevators on the Upper deck.

thank you! you are not kidding that's a bargain. $20 for a 24 hr parking period in manhattan? wow!

and i am glad to know there is ample parking. it wld be a real problem to drive to the ship and have the lot full. the lots around the city where we'd have to try to stick our car are NOT $20 a day that's fo' sure, lol.

Hi Sandi, we were in 5215, my sons were in 5217, and daughter and her friends were in 5219. Ours was the neatest cabin by far! LOL

We were in 5204...other side from you but in the same general area. I thought it was a great location. Very convenient to everything. I loved that location and would choose it again.
