JimVrhovac Posted October 27, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2007 We got it all in. Picture empty Explorer Picture of everthing stacked in back of explorer Picture computer boxes Picture of Computer stuff after packed Picture of Almost done Everyone had a great time while packing. Ralph, next door neighbor, asked me not to start packing until couple of his friends got over as they had money in the lottery and wanted to count the boxes/bags as we put them in. Should be on the roal by 11:00 AM and should make Tampa by 6 or 7:00 PM, after all that is about 200 miles. Everyone be safe and have a great week as we are going to try to on the Veendam Until them Ruth & Jim

mamaofami Posted October 27, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Very impressive. I'd love to see the cabin steward's face when he delivers all of this to you? Have a great cruise!
Rare terrydtx Posted October 27, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Jim, I didnt see that portable A/C unit you will need on the Veendam. Have a great cruise and let us know how the new HAL concept of a personal Sauna in every cabin works for you. Hope we get the personal sauna in our cabin on the Volendam next month, NOT!!!

DesertDiva Posted October 27, 2007 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2007 You are too funny - I can't believe all that you are taking with you. You were serious! It would take me a full day to unpack all that and then a full day to repack at the end of the cruise. However, I'll bet your wife looks beautiful and elegant every minute of the cruise! Have a wonderful time and stay safe driving!
Hollyhawk Posted October 27, 2007 #7 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Bon Voyage! Think I see a bag of kitty litter; what would that be for?
RevNeal Posted October 27, 2007 #8 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Jim, Ruth ... this is absolutely hilarious! Thank you for the photos! I see the kitchen sink, but is there a blender??? :) I can't wait to cruise with you both some day ... it'll be fun to see your cabin. Not sure I'll ever be able to squeeze into it, though! Question: why does it take 7 or 8 hours to go 200 miles? Is it that, with all that stuff you can only drive 30 miles per hour? :D ;)

bepsf Posted October 27, 2007 #12 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Jim-- Have you considered switching to a laptop? (So you can make room for more slippers and beer?) :D

Travelbug 2 Posted October 27, 2007 #14 Share Posted October 27, 2007 I assume you book 2 cabins, one for you and one for the luggage!!!;) Do you take the same amount for a longer cruise or is this standard procedure?? Seriously, have a great time and drive safe. Maybe you could post some pics of the luggage after it is all delivered to your cabin, it would be a plus to have the cabin steward in the picture. :) Have fun. maxout Posted October 27, 2007 #15 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Good job on the kitchen sink! I knew you wouldn't get away without it ;) Have you ever considered a PODS Container? They will drop it off you "get to" fill it up and they could pick it up and deliver direct to the ship! Enjoy your trip and be safe.
cruisinjudy Posted October 27, 2007 #16 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Jim, It's good thing I wasn't drinking anything at the cmputer when I saw the box labed kitchen sink! And the kitty litter. I bet the cat managed to pack itself somewhere and added the kittie litter him/herself!

barbon2 Posted October 27, 2007 #18 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Have a wonderful time.... Just a silly question, do you ever get EVERYTHING unpacked by the end of the week? Or do you finish unpacking mid-week and then just start repacking the cases that you just unpacked? :) :) Bon Voyage!! Barbara
