Stock Obc Not Combinable Anymore

We emailed ours on Wednesday and received confirmation today that it has been applied to our booking. We are part of a group that gets $100 SBC as a group amenity and they let us combine the two.

I am curious; is the $100 OBC coming from the travel agency or directly from Royal Caribbean?

Thanks

The OBC is given when the stockholder requirements have been met.

Stealing?

Once again the stockholder benefit is for stockholders at time of sailing.Accepting OBC for stock you do not hold at time of sailing is theft. The theft of OBC is one of the reasons for the new policy change.I find it pathetic that someone is so shameless that they need to steal OBC.They are the same ones that cash their stolen OBC in at the casino and whine that they got charge a 3% fee for cashing in their illegally acquired gain

This is the fax number directly off of their website:

Via Fax: 1-305-373-6699

http://www.rclinvestor.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=103045&p=irol-shareholderbenefit

We provided the 954 628 9634 number to try to help the poster who was having a problem faxing his brokerage statement to RCCL. It is the number that we have been using for some time and it worked fine as late as August 18, of this year.

Thank you for correcting us. We realize that the number off RCCL's website couldn't possibly be wrong.

Gonzo,

It is coming from RCL because of the group. I am a TA so I know that for a fact.

Thanks. Hopefully it takes a while for them to start enforcing this new policy so people can still take advantage of a little extra OBC before they tighten up on this.

Jake, usually we agree on things, but I am not sure I understand you calling it "theft." Are you talking about theft in a moral sense or as in a person is actually breaking a law? I do not believe there is any law that would allow for formal charges being placed on someone for selling their RCL stock after confirming Shareholder OBC but before their actual cruise. If you are talking about theft in a moral sense than I understand.

Gonzo, you are absolutely correct, its a moral issue based on the "loopholes" in the programs written policy. Each person has to live with their own decision.

Interesting thread. Thanks fo rthe heads up, guess we will enjoy the benefits as long as we can & make sure we get the shareholder info in asap on our 2010 sailings

Sent for my OBC & didn't get denied but...they want another copy of the purchase. Used the one on file in March so I'm not sure what's going on. Tried to fax it but the phone service was down all evening. ???

it has to be the most current stock form proof or whatever they call it. my sister learned this the hard way. my sister gets a new whatever it is called every month that shows the # of shares she owns.

Buying stock for OBC and selling it immediately (even after sailing) ... JUST to get the credit just sounds ... tacky. Like you're taking advantage of someone being nice.

It reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons when they're at the Springfield library. Reverend Lovejoy is renewing the bible ... again. Seems he does this every week since he's too cheap to buy his own and is taking advantage of someone else for his own interests.

AS I posted earlier I just purchased RCL. I have been watching it or a long time and think it is a buy for several reasons, the OBC being one but it was just a minor consideration. I received the 55 age discount, the platnum, discount and also the C&A discount for the 1/ 11 Voyager cruise. Sent the request yesterday and got the conformation today.

Again, I buy stock in products that I use and enjoy that pay a dividend so hopefully down the road there will be a profit. Probably a little better of a gamble than the slots if my five year history research of investing in both tread chart is correct. Notree

I read some of this thread the other day and wanted to comment but I waited until I had my own confirmation. Well, I emailed my request for a stock OBC yesterday for the Explorer 11/30 and confirmation came today, our OBC for future cruise booking, C&A coupon are all combinable:) If RCL decides to change the policy at some point it’s well within their rights but I think they know that they are making a good return on the stock discount. I don't know about you but they are with us!!!!

We think you have an old number. Try 954 628 9634.

The new number that I got from Ms. Buchanan to fax to ( as I used both the numbers and found out that they are no longer correct). 305-373-6699 ( I used this number on 8/11/08, and received email confirmation that it was applied. )

I put a limit order in for RCI about 2 months ago and today the purchase was made.....Even though I had read parts of this thread the last few days I still decided to keep the order and figured from where the price was yesterday that I would be an owner today.

So it appears from the last few posts that I still may get OBC?

Even though I have used NC, diamond disc., C&A...unfortuantely to young for senior and visa?

We sail on Oct. 10th will this be cutting it to close?

Probably won't have a confirm until Mon. or Tues. of next week.

Thanks for the numbers, is faxing or emailing better?

As soon as you get a stock purchase confirmation, you should be able to email RC and get your Sockholder OBC - if they are giving it.

Great time to buy IMHO.

I had owned this stock off and on for over 3 years.

Earlier this year I bought in the $19 range sold when it got close to $30 an also used the Stockholders Credit , I have been told that they do check on the time of sailing to see if you still own it, that is why it doesn't show up till the second day of the cruise.

How were you so lucky to hit it both ways..?

I have been watching the stock for over a year...I think it was only in the 19 range one or 2 days and very few times has gotten close to 30 since then.

Way to go........
