I have never heard of this before.Thanks Vicki Hi Vicki...............it's not a next cruise credit but an OBC from purchasing a NextCruise booking while on a ship. NextCruise bookings have a $100pp non-refundable deposit and are good forever, but have no itinerary/ship/sailing date attached to it. When you change the NC booking into a specific cruise that has an itinerary/ship/sailing date then you will be given the OBC for that cruise that is determined by the number of nights sailing. I'm a stockholder as well and everytime I saw those two envelopes on my desk, I was very unhappy. GREAT news! Made my day!!:D We are shareholders, and we are currently holding a next cruise booking that was frustrating the heck out of me! I sent a letter to RCI last week expressing my unhappiness over their new policy, and along with all the others they received, clearly they heard our message loud and clear. Like so many of you, we have been "loyal to Royal" and it looks like that will continue. Thank you Royal Caribbean for remembering who your loyal base of customers are! We have stock so if they disallowed combining 2 OBCs we would not be as motivated to book another cruise. And to the Bean Counters (aka accountants) we have become RCI cheer leaders because of your great past passenger benefits. And yes many of us take advantage of all the perks we can - but we are onboard spending money and telling all our friends about how great RCI treats its loyal passengers. Now I am sailing in 38 days on Freedom and my question is can I purchase "next cruise" and then go back and apply it to my 2010 cruise already booked? I really dont want to cancel and re-book because we have "THE" AFT 1688 cabin and everything has already been processed on my RCCL visa!!:( Just curious if anyone else has experienced this? Thanks. I too will book another next cruise on my sailing in January, and can think of several LA's that I know well that are probably sleeping better tonight knowing they'll have a little more job security now. We have a similiar situation. Can't you just get your Next Cruise and then when you come home cancel your existing booking (assuming price has not gone up) and then at the same time with C and A switch that room to the Next Cruise reservation?
