Just back had a royal suite 1612

great size and fab balcony with a jacuzzi .

Some noise from above when the group were playing during the day but nothing that really annoyed us.

wind was not a problem as we were mid ships.

all the extras with a suite make this an excellent choice of cabin .

Ship:Solstice

Cabin: 6302

Very Quiet

Balcony view was fine. Listed as partially obstructed but it is not. The top of the restaurant is off the front edge of the balcony. If you want to look directly down to the water, don't book this room. To me it made no difference.

Balcony Size: Much bigger than standard rooms and very private because on one side is a solid wall and the other side is an adjoining room.

Wind was no problem as this balcony is sheltered.

Soot was no problem

We loved this cabin and booked it again for our March cruise on Eclipse. It has a large balcony, it is very quiet, has no obstruction and is the lowest cost balcony on the ship. If you can live with not looking straight down at the water, it is a heck of a bargain. An unintended positive, the distance to the elevators and stairs is a quasi workout and helps work off the food and drink!!

Ship:- Silhouette

Cabin: 1610

Deck: 11

Class: AQ

Area: Mid - first room past elevators, great location

Bed: Near bath

Quiet: Very, I am extremely light sleeper and noise was never a problem.

Balcony size: I believe this is the largest AQ balcony, last one before the RS. It was quite large, very nice, we loved this stateroom and will try to book it again on future cruises. Even some sun on balcony on a few days.

Wonderful room.

View was unobstructed out and towards aft, could not really see forward without leaning....this was not an issue.

Wind: Not a problem

Ship: Silhouette

Cabin #: 1634

Deck #: 11

Class: AQ

Area: Starboard, Aft

Bed near: Bath

Quiet?: Quiet

Balcony view: Unobstructed

Balcony size: Standard size

Wind a problem?: No

Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments:

A nice cabin, no problems. There are cabins above and below. We did notice a slight vibration when the ship was moving; seemed odd to feel this so far above the engines. This was not a problem for us, but noticeable if you are sitting still and reading. I would select this cabin again. Edited by SFCAcruiser

Ship - Equinox

Deck - 12

Cabin # - 2119

Class – S2

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Scraping chairs from Cafeteria above annoying first thing in the morning, particularly on early Port days, when we were trying to sleep in. Why oh why don't they carpet this small area. Apart from that it was very quiet.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Good view, but the overhang kept the suite in shade all day, but the pool deck was such a short walk away, that this wasn't an issue. Cannot see directly forward due to the hump. Very private though.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal.

Was wind a problem? Not at all.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? Only the scraping chairs.

Any other comments? Great location - on Resort deck so a 1 min walk to the pool. One deck up was the Cafeteria, so very convenient. Close to lifts. Storage was amazing. Far better than the Celebrity Suite that we had previously. Loved it.

Deck - 7

Cabin # - 7211

Class – I don't remember

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – You don't hear any of the theater or club noise.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Deck 7 is unobstructed as it is one deck above the lifeboats.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? This cabin is on the "slant" facing forward. If you look at the ship layout you'll see what I mean. Even so, wind was never a problem. On calm days it is not noticeable.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem?

Any specific problems with this cabin?

Any other comments? Great cabin, I'd stay in it again in a heartbeat. The balcony is worth every penny of extra cost.

Deck - Skydeck

Cabin # - 1063

Class – Concierge

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bathroom.

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Very quiet

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No obstructions

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal size

Was wind a problem? No wind problems. We cruised with great weather the whole time.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? Nothing that we noticed.

Any other comments? This room is located just off the forward elevators. A previous poster mentioned the long walk to the MD, which is true. However, we thought having a short walk to the theater was a big plus. :)

Thanks soooooo much for putting this together. We have just had to re book our original cruise on Constellation and are now booked on Equinox. The cabins we had were 1541/1543 on Deck 11 and thanks to you we have found out that they are extremely noisy and got our TA to move us onto other side of the deck where according to the chart, it is lovely and quiet - so a huge big THANKS from me. xxxxxxx

Deck - 9

Cabin # - 9247

Class – Concierge

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – No noise (connecting cabin)

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Fine - no forward view, but not a problem

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? Only after eating certain things...

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem?

Any specific problems with this cabin? Balcony affected badly by cooking smells from below , and several times a day they cook industrial quantities of garlic down in the galley. Unfortunately, this is my pet hate, but others are probably not bothered.

Any other comments?

Ship: Solstice

Cabin #: 2108

Deck #: 12

Class: c2

Area: mid/aft Starboard

Bed near: Bath

Quiet?: Yes

Balcony view: Unobstructed, at the back of the hump so the view mostly to the aft.

Balcony size: Medium

Wind a problem?: No

Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments: Loved this cabin. There was a a little muffled sound of footsteps from people walking in the Ocean View Cafe above, but not so much that it disturbed our sleep. No scraping of chairs though!

Loved the close proximity of the pools, solarium, lifts and dining rooms, would definately take the cabin again.
