Is the second bottle of wine coupon 20% off a bottle of wine over $50 or under? Over would be a change.

 

Many of those coupons are useless to me. The Diamonds International one is particularly annoying.:rolleyes:

As a stockholder, I would like to see the numbers a year from now on how effective these new coupons have been, in comparison to the money it cost to reproduce the books. I see very little incentive to use these coupons.

For example, we will no longer go to JR. I would always say to DH we need to go to JR early in the cruise so I can walk off the extra cals. The free coupon was the draw, and my DH had to have a milkshake and always talked me into a dessert along with his,,,but no more,,,,maybe the new coupons are a good thing for me.

Please can someone explain a "Hot Beverage Souvenir Cup" ..never heard of that :confused: and Wilderness Express railcars :confused:

A while back they had insulated coffee mugs in Lattitudes and actually served cold drinks in them too at the pool. I got several then and we still use them. Maybe they are bringing those back.

Just got off the Navigator eastbound transatlantic and we were issued with the above but clearly some people onboard were still getting some old booklets from their room stewards. This is one thing that bugs me, why can't they automatically discard all the old stock when new stock arrives onboard so people don't swear black is white that the new ones didn't exist :mad:. This didn't happen to me but did to others. I brought the booklet home to post on here to let everyone know the changes. We are lowly Gold Members and were on that same Navigator Transatlantic in April. We had the free pull coupons and the Johnny Rockets cover charge coupons and used them all no questions asked.

 

I don't really know the difference between the new and old, so I don't know what we got, but figured I'd let you guys know!

 

And yes, Johnny Rockets was VERY dead the vast majority of the cruise. (Although it was a VERY different crowd than most other cruises)

RCCL--------not a smart move..............gets me to thinking about other options..............granted I dont cruise RCCL just for the perks,but it helps sway me a bit over the other lines............now its becoming a little more equal.................

 

Little by little, they are getting rid of things that kept us coming back for more..

mmm, so JR fee up to $4.95, no free coupon, milk shake now $4.95 (was $3.60 + tip in 2006, but hey that's inflation for you). So now $14.85 per visit for 2 of us instead of $8.28 & $16.18 in 2006 a total of $24.46. 2 visits on FOS in 2009 looks like around $30.00 (we'll have 2 BOGOF milk shake coupons 1 for each visit), only just over a $5 difference. Don't think that's too bad. If you don't like milk shakes I appreciate it isn't much of a benefit.

 

Will miss the BOGOF cocktails, but the wine will do in Vintages.

 

Shame no free photo as always normally purchase at least 1 for parents as a souvenir. Not sure what the 'White Lifestyle Portrait' photo is, anyone?

 

Coffee - OK

10% merchandise - maybe

$5 laundry - maybe

 

Hopefully there'll still be internet credit after Sept 1st, who knows?

 

There used to be a Ben & Jerry's coupon, no longer by the looks of it.

 

The rest, no use to us, I like champagne, but could never afford Dom Perignon anyway.

We are Diamond members, but we have not cruised with Royal Caribbean for 2 years. We have a cruise around new year coming up on the Radiance - boy, a lot has changed with the coupon books and past guest perks! Though we aren't particularly loyal to one cruise line, we always used to think Royal Caribbean had the best past guest perks; not anymore!

 

What's the past guest "gift" they are giving everyone? Since we are only Diamond members, we won't have the Concierge on our cruise aboard the Radiance. We are okay with the free wine I hear we can have in the evening instead. What about the overall food quality? Royal Caribbean's cuisine has never been our favorite, but has it too changed?

 

We tend to cruise more for the itinerary, so we will go with the cruise line that offers us the best itinerary and value. Lately, it's not been Royal Caribbean. I am very much looking forward to cruising on the Radiance again - I won't be too disappointed, will I?

Just off the Mariner..the Cabo/SF itinerary;)

 

D and D+ pax had different versions of the book, I had 10 which still had the free photo, etc. others did not.

 

But get this, my SIL did not receive her gold book so went to get it from the LA and she tore out the photo coupon, stating the vendor no longer honored it........

 

So on our sailing it was just luck of the draw...............and as usual, right hand does not know what the left hand its doing when it comes to perks.
