Outside of the spa, there is always the gift shops and the casino. Any leftover funds can be contributed to the Crew Welfare Fund which is nice to do. I never heard of a future cruise deposit fund nor a military OBC. I do believe the credit is applicable with the Carnival Stockholders credit.

 

Not sure what classifies as a fancy drink, but they are included. There is a wine grouping that you can purchase, however.

 

JaneBP, Princes was the first cruiseline within the Carnival Brands to offer military discount fares (usually less 10%) and also giving them a special military OBC (usually $100.00). Seabourn as of yet has not followed suit but HAL is also offering Military Discount Fares as Princess but no OBC. And you are correct that the Referral Coupon Credit of $400.00 is fully combineable with the Carnival Shareholder Benefit of $250.00.

 

I believe Griller is referring again to Princess's Future Cruise Deposit which entitles them to have an open booking for 4 years to apply it to a new booking and they purchase these onboard with the Future Cruise Consultant for $100.00 each. As with Princess, on Seabourn you can buy a FCD (Future Cruise Deposit) for $500.00 per person valid for 2 years and you save as well 5% off the base fare. In either case neither can be charged to your onboard account which means you can't use any OBC against paying for them. They are only charged to a credit card.

Thanks for the great info. JaneBP tells me that OBC may be used in the Casino, as is done on Princess. Thats good to know.

Do they have an automated system where you stick your cruise card in the slot machine and transfer funds from your ships account or do you have to buy chips with it?

Fancy drinks for me are $200 shots of Napoleon cognac and Roderer Cristal Champagne etc.

OH, I was thinking more of a BBC, for example. I have no idea about the brandy or champagne, other than they are indeed pricey.

 

I did misunderstand the future cruise credit which I always use. Carnival is, as has been written, stopping that benefit.

We have a Seabourn Referral Coupon available for any first time Seabourn cruisers who will make their final payment before mid November. If you email me at "pat.schafer" at "mac" dot "com" I will get the necessary details and forward the Coupon to Seabourn.

 

(Our final payment was paid Sept 6 for a cruise on Dec 5. We are based in Sydney, Australia.)
