Great Review. Glad you made the most of it and had a good time.

Do the naked dancers where any type of "dancer stockings or panty

hose" or are they just nekid with their tongs covering the minimum?

I always assumed they wore panty hose.

All the dancer's I've seen on Carnival wear hose. Unless you are very close to the stage, you probably won't notice and will think they are bare as they are flesh toned.

I guess I'm one of those that has never given the thongs a second thought - seen them in almost every show on every cruise now and never thought much about it.

MY CRUISE BY RON: PART 3

OH BEFORE I FORGET!

I have gotten used to eating onion rings on the Lido for lunch or late night snack. NO OINION RINGS ON THIS SHIP! I couldnt even find a chicken tender. Whats going on here? Whats next? No fruit punch? Ooooooh wait. :(

***THIS IS WHERE I BREAK FOR MY OWN DINNER***

Stay tuned for more later.

My dh was bummed as there were no onion rings or chiken fingers on the Splendor. We were trying to figure out if it was a new fleet wide thing or if they only had them on certain ships. We had them on the Valor and Liberty last year. No biggie with the chicken tenders as they served them in the dining room and those ones were excellent unlike the dry over coated ones on the Lido. Onion rings were on top of the prime rib on formal night but not to be seen again after that.

This review is like a soap opera with the tid bits thrown in to keep us returning to see why you were upset and naked dancers  I'm going to read ahead in hopes that this was all revealed before you went to bed lol

Well Mary, it's like this..

I don't think you are a prude, you just seem like a negative person. You went off on the costumes of the female dancers. Would you be listing that complaint in your review had it been the male dancers with their asses exposed? I highly doubt it.

You get out of life what you put in. Try not worrying about being a prude, and perhaps smile and lighten up!

Well isn't that the weirdest thing. Hummm. My DD will not be pleased at all. One of her favorite things about cruising is I do not limit her bacon consumption. She's been known to eat a pound of bacon and 2-3 danishes for breakfast. I guess this time around she will have to eat with me in the dining room if she wants lots of bacon without going through the line time after time.

And- for those who are going to yell at me.........my DD is almost 18 years old and if she wants to eat a pound of bacon a few days once every two or three years....yes, I think that is just fine. Thanks

No yelling, but she won't have to go through the line several times. All she needs to do is to poiletly ask the server to give her X amount of pieces or to keep asking for more. If the same person is serving it each day he/she will remember her. They aren't limiting the bacon just serving it instead.

It will be fine, good little tidbit to know.

I AM SO READY TO GO!!!!!

I am not a fan of raw bacon and that is how is was prepared on the Holiday last month. The sausage or canadian bacon was much more to my liking. Overall good review, but just a little pickey and biased on some points. But, isn't that what a review is suppose tobe? It is good to read the good and the bad. I have no use for reviews that are totally one sided as so many first post reviews seem to be (negative). Thank you, Ron for an entertaining review.

My name is not Mary, it's Ron.

Would I complain about male dancers showing their butts? YES I WOULD!

I say again that there is a time and place for everything. A family show is not the place to flash boobs and almost every inch of a bare ass.

Good taste isnt limited to females.

Just because I like men doesnt mean I always want to see their private parts. Maybe you do. I do not.

The costumes should be part of the show, not a distraction that takes away from the show.

A negative person? Why because I have good manners? Because I know poor taste when I see it?

At any rate it is my experience on my cruise.

I have been on 8 cruises, 6 of which have been on Carnival.

I will continue to cruise on Carnival as it is my favorite line.

Even though I may be considered a "cheerleader" for the line, it doesnt mean I wont say anything negative.

Thank you for your critique. :)

You are absolutely correct. They all wear hose, and have to wear it.

So they are far from naked.

There is more bare skin in the audience than on stage.

I think the mooning is fleetwide. Our group on the Legend last November was quite scandalized. It was a bit much.

This is not new, it was a fact when I took my first cruise in 1982. I am kind of surprised that everyone is surprised.

Ron,

That was one of the best reviews I've read in a long time. Actually, I usually don't read them. But it was well written and the way you strung us along......bravo.

Thank you!

Back on track....

I am happy to answer any questions.

Ron,

Other than your table mates, travel delays, and bad luck in the casino, it sure would be helpful if you'd post pics of the things you didn't like. ;)
