Will do, I'm guessing some of the best photos might be from the shore or the ferries so I will be relying on others. I booked my hotel months ago arriving on the 24th and staying until the 26th :). sandjango Posted April 6, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 6, 2015 We will be on QM2. My wife is Liverpudlian. We met and married in Liverpool,so very special for us.By the way this is the third time we have sailed up the Mersey on QM2, never fails to send shivers down our spines when her amazing horn sounds. So nice we are staying overnight in Liverpool. We can now say we have been under, been over and now slept on the Mersey.

Lanky Lad Posted April 12, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 12, 2015 Here is a link to the Mersey Ferries site with details of the options available. This also gives quite a good clue of what is planned and timings. :) http://www.merseyferries.co.uk/cruises/special-cruises-and-events/Pages/Three-Queens.aspx
Host Hattie Posted April 13, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Are you going on any of them Lanky Lad ? I had wondered about one of the viewing trips but there didn't seem to be an option to book them ahead of time.
balf Posted April 13, 2015 #11 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Are you going on any of them Lanky Lad ? I had wondered about one of the viewing trips but there didn't seem to be an option to book them ahead of time. If you use the link Lanky Lad has provided you can book a ferry trip that will take you around the ships. We did a similar one a few years ago when QM2 was anchored in the river. Cost is £25 David. Host Hattie Posted April 13, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Thanks but the £10 QM2 viewing trips on Sunday aren't available to book ahead of time, you just have to turn up & queue.
Lanky Lad Posted April 13, 2015 #13 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I had thought about it but decided not to bother as I expect the queues will be pretty long.
Host Hattie Posted April 13, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I think we will see how long the queues are, it would have been nice as my OH has never been on the Mersey ferry. I must have but I can't remember it.
