Cheers.... Heck yeah its worth it!

For all those who question if the Cheers program is worth the money I believe it is. Even for an average drinker now adding milkshakes and coffee it seems to me that its a steal. I always though it was well worth it. Here is a nice chart though showing you how easy it is to break even.

Not for me, don't drink coffee, I'm certainly not having a milkshake every day, and I drink one or two drinks a day on a cruise. My carry-on wine and one purchased drink a day is fine for me. I wouldn't even come CLOSE to breaking even.

I wonder if perhaps you've linked to the preview of the picture rather than the actual picture? That can happen with photobucket and a few other of the image hosting sites..

But if you get it figured out I would also like to see the info! thanks!

It happened because he used this forums attachment feature instead of just posting a direct link to the photo from his photo hosting site. Anytime you use this forum's attach feature, it absolutely kills resolution.

Darn Sorry for the build up. I cant figure out how to make it bigger. Its full screen on my pc....

lol, no worries - if it's full size on your pc then you can upload that to tinypic.com and select "default" size (as opposed to resizing with any of the options in the drop-down box.

Tinypic will then generate several links for different occasions and you just copy the one that says "IMG code for Forums and Message Boards" and paste it straight into your post.

About half the time they make you solve a Captcha puzzle before giving you the code but I reckon that's just to throw off bots from flooding their system. But it's all pretty self-explanatory and they walk you right through it.

Ahhhh, i didn't even know you could do that - thanks! I wondered why the link resolved to cruisecritic page rather than a hosting site...

cheers!

$500 plus for a few milkshakes and coffees and a few drinks will never be worth it. I can live without milkshakes and drink the free coffee.

If the free coffee is like the stuff served on Disney and Royal, I'd rather drink out of a public toilet.

Lido is prettttttty bad but MDR and room service have been drinkable in my experience. I have no idea why there is a difference but there definitely is.

We always get room service to bring us a carafe in the morning for breakfast.

The included coffee on Carnival in Lido is as terrible as Royal Caribbeans included coffee ;)

I purchased Cheers for our upcoming Vista cruise. My wife and I love specialty coffees, milkshakes, and we will put down 10-15 frozen fruity cocktails a day each. We'll also load up on vitamin waters for port days. I'd bet we could close in on $1800 to $2000 worth of these "fluids" on our 8 day if purchased separately. So yeah, the cost of Cheers program will well be worth it. We doubled the worth of drink packages on both of our previous cruises as well.

Thanks for the breakdown!

Can someone post where you get the milkshakes, is there a menu with pricing for that?........

Last time I got a milkshake it was at a small coffee/desert bar just aft of the casino, but it may depend on what ship you're on. Here are a couple of menus:

https://www.carnival.com/cruise-food/shake-spot

When I got my shake it wasn't a Shake Spot, it was just a coffee bar:

Impressive, don't know how you do it. Even including water, coffee and a drink we wouldn't get to $55 a day. If I had a "free" package I would probably get more water, coffee and milkshakes than I need but that is just because it's "free". Still hard pressed to get the value of the package.

enjoy
