Pacific Princess Club Class dining.

Entry to Club Class dining on the Pacific Princess became a problem on our recent cruise. On our choosing club class on two other cruises the Emerald and Crown there was a separate entrance door so that those who had paid for the niceties of that way of dining could filter in past a check point, avoiding the normal line awaiting the main restaurant to open. The Pacific has just a roped off area with a small gap signposted accordingly at the side of the normal room entrance. Unfortunately two couples, un-entitled to club class, slipped through the gap and sat themselves down on two tables normally used by established regulars to club class. Full marks to the head waiter and the maitre d’, they saw a problem brewing and resolved it without the embarrassment of having to ask the“squatters” to move. I do so hope we don’t go down the same path of the non-controlled sun lounger hogs. Lesson learned Princess?.

So what exactly did the HW and MD do???

How do you resolve the issue without embarrassing the interlopers??

We just left the dining room and got the MD to get us a late booking table in the steak house. I expect he made more positive checks at the CC entrance after that.

A little off topic, but is Oscar (MD for our Panama Canal cruise in May) back onboard yet?......:):):)

On our 6/27 cruise to Norway, there was a couple who sat themselves down near the window on a night with open seating because we were not leaving port till 2300. HW and M.D. quickly approached them and asked if they were Club Class to which they replied that they didn't know what CC was. They then asked to see their cruise card and since they were not CC, then explained that he could get them a table for two elsewhere but not in the CC section. We were two tables away and saw/heard the entire exchange.
