on board spending

Generally how much do you need to spend on board the Carnival Triumph. Not heavy drinkers?:)

Hi there

If you don't drink or gamble your onboard expenses don't need to be any more that than the daily gratuities.

Drink prices are quite low compared to other some other cruise lines. You can choose to try the specialty dining options which are nice but not necessary. Also there are choices if you want some spa services. There are some onboard stores and while some people enjoy buying special items while on vacations, it is not a requirement. One other thing they are always promoting are their pictures if you are interested in a cruise memento. "Art" auctions are available, but you should be cautious. Bingo is another source of entertainment that many enjoy, but that would be the same as gambling.

That pretty much sums up all the ways to spend money on the ship. Of course once you leave the ship you will likely want to do things that will cost you something. If you do some research you should be able to find things of interest to fit any budget.

hope this helps

have a great cruise

If you don't gamble, don't shop, don't buy photos, don't eat anywhere but the included venues, don't get spa treatments or take exercise classes, and don't book excursions on the ship, you can get buy without spending anything!

We bring lots of cash...just in case we need it, but our charges go on our credit card...just easier!

Of course, alcohol and soda will cost you.

Depends on you. On a recent cruise we had pre-paid gratuities and the beverage package so our on-board bill was ZERO. We don't purchase photos, play in the casino, avail ourselves to the sur-charge restaurants, buy in the shops or purchase (or even go) to the art auctions. All of these are discretionary spending and you can spend anywhere from nothing to "whatever".

We don't consume enough to make the beverage package worth it, but both the beverage package and the prepaid gratuities were comped perks. Thus onboard spending was $0. We also go $100 OBC that we just added to the gratuities. Geez.....if we waited a bit longer to book, maybe they would have paid us to sail! LOL
