Room Service with guests in Suite Levels

Anyone have experience ordering room service dinner in a RS and having other passengers who are not in a suite cabin join you? We are planning a trip with 1 or 2 other couples and one of them may choose a cabin at a lower level. If we wanted to have dinner in our cabin one night around the dining room table would they be able to join us? My hunch is that it will probably depend on our butler but just wondering if anyone else has any info.

Shouldn't be a problem since you can get room service from the MDR in all cabin categories not just suites, been that way for 20 years. . Also, even in a suite you will not get it from Luminae, only from the MDR

It will be no problem at all but your butler will appreciate it if you let him know the day before. If you arrange with him the time you wish to dine he will set it all up and serve you course by course.

We have also arranged sail aways from our cabin for groups of friends and the butler has put our champagne to go on ice and arranged tasty little nibbles.
