  1. @*Miss G* Thanks for sharing your cruise with us. Honest, funny and lots of pictures, love it.
  2. @0106Thanks for the recipes and information. I think I will make the salsa with peaches and parsley (I don't like cilantro). That's the great thing about preparing food in your own kitchen, you can leave out what you don't like!
  3. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet and Daily Report. It should be a nice day here, high of 25C (77F) and sunny. It's back to school here in Ontario. I fight procrastination every day, I love to read books. Not sure about tossing eggs, that sounds messy. Love the quote. The meal sounds good, looking forward to seeing the recipe. I'm sure I'll like the drink and the wine. We haven't been to today's port, but should be there next year. Thanks in advance for pictures and comments. Prayers for everyone. Stay safe.
  4. Thanks for your honest answer. We sailed from Rotterdam a few years ago on the Norse Legends cruise but we stayed for several days in Amsterdam before the cruise (so much to do there) and took the train and then a taxi to the ship the day we sailed. We thought it might be nice to stay in Rotterdam this time and explore Rotterdam a bit.
  5. Sorry, no more free wine. Corkage fee applies to all wine carried on whether it will be consumed in the dining room or your stateroom or elsewhere. I believe the fee is now $20 per bottle.
  6. We did the Norse Legends cruise a few years ago, like you, we couldn't arrange to do both cruises. Bergen and Alesund are wonderful towns to explore and the scenic cruising in the fjords is stunning. Our only complaint was that it was too short. Someday, we'll go back.
  7. Great pictures. The ship looks fabulous. Hope everyone enjoys their time in Juneau.
  8. Cilantro tastes like soap to me too. I usually substitute parsley.
  9. Tough choice. I voted for Eastern Med but almost voted for Baltic. I've never been to Israel, but loved Greece and Turkey. A cruise to Norway would be another option, but you didn't ask about that. Have a great time.
  10. @Seasick SailorPrayers for Allen. @Cruzin Terri Sorry about your plumbing problems.
  11. What a terrible experience. I hope your wife tests negative and you can fly home as soon as possible.
  12. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet and Daily Report. Happy Labour Day. We salute all those who work to make workers safe. A cool foggy morning. It feels like fall. I am rarely late, I'm usually early. I'll pass on the pizza. Charity is important. An interesting quote. I'd like to try today's meal, looking forward to the recipe. I'm sure the drink would be great, hope the wine isn't too expensive. Prayers for everyone on the Care List. Cheers for all the celebrations. Have a great day. Stay safe.
  13. @StLouisCruisersLove the picture of Sadie, oh, and the tree looks great too.
  14. We did the 11 day cruise on HAL, into the Panama Canal. You transit the first set of locks then the ship stays in Gatun Lake for the day. There are several shore excursions you can take, or stay on the ship. Later, the ship exits the canal. We also stopped in Costa Rica, Colombia, Aruba, Curacao and Half Moon Key (maybe more ports but I can't remember). It's a great way to see the canal and convenient because it's a round trip cruise from Ft Lauderdale. It's also shorter than a cruise that does the full transit of the canal. We did not sail the Eurodam on that cruise, but we have been on the Eurodam in Europe. It's a great ship, lots of places to sit and enjoy the sea, a full promenade around the ship and the Tamarind restaurant.
  15. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet and Daily Report. A little foggy this morning, and cooler.🙂 Manners are very important and I like spices. Interesting quote. The meal sounds good, thanks for the recipes. I hope everything is okay with the Osterdam. Prayers for everyone. Have a wonderful day. Stay safe.
  16. @NextOne It would be wonderful to see a lilac blooming at this time of year. I'm no expert, but I would not fertilize the lilac at this time of year. Fertilizers tend to push out lots of leaves and you don't really want that after a stressful summer. I would make sure it gets enough water going into winter and see how it does next spring. It may not flower. Make sure it does not go under water stress and things will be back to normal soon. It probably would be okay to prune now, but you could wait until after the normal blooming period in the spring. 🤞
  17. @luvteachingSorry about your friend Wayne. Glad he has peace. Prayers for his wife, family and friends.
  18. @rafinmdSo sorry about Captain Workman. Prayers for his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
  19. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet and Daily Report. Happy Saturday of a holiday weekend for many of us. Another nice summer day here in Southern Ontario. Should get up to 30C (86F), with the humidity it will feel much hotter. Bertie and I had a nice quiet walk before it gets too hot. Haven't been to a Cinema in years. Football fans love Tailgating (not the driving offence Graham referred to, but a party in the parking lot before a game). No skyscrapers in my little town. Love the quote, I'll have to remember that. The meal sounds good, looking forward to seeing the recipe. I'm sure the drink is great too. I think I'll like the wine. Prayers for everyone. I hope everyone can find something to celebrate. Have a wonderful day. Stay safe.
