  1. Rather than 2 inside cabins, why not go for a de luxe balcony cabin, they can have a sofa bed and a Pullman bunk, and the cabins are more spacious.
  2. I imagine if a poll of passengers was taken, then reducing all ships to at the most 1 formal night per week would win.
  3. If you search on here you will find some posters have a method of both of you using your devices by using one as a hot spot. I am not technical but it sounded simple, hope you can find the posts.
  4. The very front has stairs to take you to the very front of the ship, outside on Ventura but inside on Azura.
  5. I thought that following covid most cruise ships had modified their aircon systems to filter out most viruses.
  6. As long as it does not lead to a further lowering of standards, then I agree with you. However if this becomes popular then there will be a significant tempatation for the bean counters to add more and more of the regular items to the specials list and increase profits, leaving a "rag end" menu.
  7. It might be better for your wife if you request a shower chair which can be positioned nearer to the controls. We always request a chair which my wife uses at the wash basin, and for the shower.
  8. Well if that's the case you are the only person I know who has not found the embarkation procedure infinitely superior to P&O.
  9. Have you actually sailed from Southampton on any of the non Carnival cruise lines? When you do, you might appreciate the major difference in customer service they provide, and understand why those of us who have sailed with, RCI, Celebrity, MSC and NCL would really like P&O to show their passengers the same courteous consideration. In fact since Princess manage to provide a much slicker embarkation experience, despite having to use the substandard Carnival terminals, I struggle to understand why P&O don't learn from their US sibling.
  10. That's not good for passengers, and an extra unnecessary expense for P&O.
  11. When the queue does threaten to go out of the door, their customer service demands that they get their finger out and ensure things are speeded up, because they put the comfort of their customers as top priority.
  12. Maybe, but with parking charges, poor security for cars full of luggage, and mean traffic wardens.
  13. That all sounds reasonably sensible when quoted in total isolation of how much better other cruise lines manage embarkation at Southampton. There is arrival time guidance giveen by RCI, Celebrity and MSC, but it is never policed and whatever time you arrive you are allowed into the terminal, and because they process check in light years faster than P&O you are on board far faster. Princess also manages check in far better than P&O, and they have the disadvantage of having to use the Carnival terminals which have security last instead of first as City and Horizon do.
  14. If that is one of the later times then I would risk arriving a bit earlier, as many posters have said the queues have gone by then.
  15. I guess it's because there are more fish in our colder waters than in the hot seas of the Med or Caribbean. Or maybe our seagulls are all immigrants!!!
  16. Nope, only 7 days earlier than P&O but even that can be flexible if you want to wait a few days until your CC statement date has passed.
  17. You're fortunate that you were able to download a meaningful document from the HL app or website. My shares are held in my ii (Interactive Investor) acccount, and their app does not permit screenprints, and has no download function, that I can find, and even if I could take a screen print of my holdings, my name is not shown and there is no date!!!!
  18. You're not using one of the better TAs if P&O are easier to contact, my TA's phone is answered in seconds and if there is no agent available they offer a ring back which, on the one occasion an agent was not available, happened within an hour.
  19. Agreed, but I was stating that I did not think P&O would seek to demand any percentage payment of the balance, so the only way the TA would receive his admin fee would be to sue the passenger, which would cost the TA more in legal fees than it's worth, especially as they would not have incurred any admin costs.
  20. I too would be very interested to know how they will collect this, especially if you let the balance payment lapse, as I don't think P&O would pursue you for further payment.
  21. A smart, preferably dark coloured jacket should be ok, whether or not a tie need be worn is a matter of personal choice, but plenty of posters on here will disagree with me.
  22. They didn't have a separate wheelchair line in NOLA when we were there.
  23. Don't think I have seen many posts "arrogantly" telling people off for not attending the formal nights. Maybe the odd dispute about whether one of the MDRs should be available for those not wanting to dress up, which is likely to be the next possibility.
