  1. You are overlooked in a deck C balcony, BUT those staring down at you are just jealous that you have a double depth balcony and can choose to be in full sun or part shade.
  2. It was a P&O one and since it was a large 45 plus seater with wheelchair access, it was priced the same as an AB excursion, there were several coaches 2 of which had wheelchair spaces. Sorry I cannot remember its name, but it was essentially a low walking tour, mainly scenic views from the coach. It did take us round the main streets of the city as well as the urban surroundings, and as we did it on day one that was quite useful.
  3. Or it could the last port day, which sometimes happens.
  4. Hope you're more successful with the trams than we were, after queuing for about 30 minutes the disabled hoist on the tram was out of action, so we had to walk. However the stroll, initially through the shopping mall, and then along the riverbank promenade and boardwalk was very easy and very pleasant. We did a scenic tour of the area by bus, one of those with a hoist at the rear and space for some wheelchairs, it had a few photo stops where I got off but Mrs TJ stayed on the bus, and it took in the levees and the pumping stations that prevent the Mississippi from flooding the low lying areas. We thought it was well worth doing.
  5. Is it safe to use the tunnel pushing a wheelchair? Last visit we wandered the other direction, so next Jan I thought we would try through the tunnel.
  6. I must have consumed loads of highly processed and additive full food over the years, and am still going reasonably well at a couple of weeks short of 80??!!
  7. -4 deg here at present and ith another light covering of snow overnight, and the forecast not to get above 0 deg today.
  8. But don't you have to input your cc details into the website or app when you first complete all your personal data?
  9. My Android phone will give me the option to load my cc details into a sellers website or app, which I guess is what @tring is referring to, but it does require me to choose that option. Of course some sites do ask you if you want to save your card details to make future ordering slicker, maybe you inadvertently ticked the Princess box?😇😊
  10. I might try a Choc free February, to get back in shape for our March cruise
  11. I guess if you have never seen any appalling behaviour on nearly 40 cruises, like us, then it is a little hard to believe that you have so lucky.
  12. We had a light snow covering this morning and it was snowing a little earlier on, however the sun came out and the snow on my car has now melted, but we now have sunshine and snow flurries at the same time, might be a snow bow somewhere.
  13. Have you asked if a staff member could wheel your wife to the immigration point while you are on your excursion?
  14. I think that bad experiences tend to be reported much more frequently than good ones, which does influence our thinking. From our own experiences I don't believe that we are seeing an increase in bad behaviour on our cruises, or in excessive drinking. Maybe we are just more tolerant, or possibly not observant enough.
  15. We sailed on one of her sisters, Tahitian Princess, on an Hawaii to Tahiti cruise, and we certainly noticed that the rolling Pacific swells regularly caused the swimming pool to flood the pool deck, you certainly needed one of those little tables to keep all your possessions dry.
  16. Must have been the 19th century clipper ships the last time that happened.
  17. If you believe that I assume you still send a present list to Santa.😊
  18. I don't hate the cold but I do prefer warmer weather, but the main reason for preferring summer is the longer daylight hours.
  19. Whilst an almost 3 hour delay is frustrating for the passengers, it was always quite common when we flew on package holidays, and quite often significantly longer, and we have experienced some fairly long delays on scheduled flights over the years.
  20. We did a similar tour many years ago which stopped for lunch at a restaurant which had an open air area under a few trees which created a gazebo effect. However as the afternoon tastings wore on memories become rather blurred.
  21. Yes totally overlooked and open.
  22. We had 2 coffees and 2 pastel de nata in a promenade cafe in Funchal last February which cost €14 euros, and we both remarked on how much more it was than pre covid.
