  1. Keel and Cow does not take bookings, but you can join the virtual queue.
  2. There is a deep depression off Norway with strong winds extending as far as Shetland.
  3. Yes indeed, a good job Mary Earps didnt get a hand to it or or she may have ended up in Melbourne.
  4. When on board if you visit any of the bookable restaurants, whilst they are manned, you should be able to check on the availability and make a reservation. We found that The Beach House, Olive Grove and Sindhu were able to find a suitable time for us.
  5. But 99% of passengers don't want to be allowed inside!! 🤔😊
  6. Olive grove can be booked once you are on board, but it does fill up quickly.
  7. You and several thousand others. 😇
  8. The bus and train companies are going to need to re-shedule their timetables, if every games is now going to be finishing 15-20 minutes later than previously.
  9. Sp probably we wont be getting one, since they already know our assistance requirements.
  10. They may have all those items but mostly they are in one small case that is easy to load on the conveyor, compare that with al the loose items that everyone has when at a port call, especially families.
  11. That has been reported many times, presumably the e-mail is just a heads up to keep checking. Personally we no longer bother with the shows, unless you arrive the day before there are rarely any wheelchair spaces left, and we no longer enjoy the shows. Which was the beauty of Princess with lots of entertainment in the Atrium including some very good groups, and finding one spare seat for me , while my DW stayed in her wheelchair, never posed a problem.
  12. I doubt that is true, most people limit the hand baggage at embarkation, but when going ashore they have far more bags with jackets and sweaters and wet weather gear.
  13. We had very little rain in Huddersfield yesterday and even a bit of brightness in the early afternoon, although we did have a couple of hours rain in the late afternoon. Today is cloudy but dry and temp of 13 deg.
  14. Which cruise lines use Ocean and Mayflower as home port terminals other than P&O, Cunard and Princess?
  15. Just as long as it's not a used hanky that you're waving.
  16. You have to book it by day 2 at the latest.
  17. Our Canadian relations used our UK based online TA to book a P&O cruise they took with us. We are not supposed to mention travel agents but the link below is a cruise critic review of the best UK TAs, I would try one of these, maybe #2, to see if they would be able to book the cruise for you. It would of course be priced in sterling but credit cards are international nowadays.. https://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/articles/best-cruise-travel-agents
  18. What is the CPS kiosk postcode, I note that their website gives the standard Ocean terminal postcode SO14 3QN. I also note that P4C only gives the same code for Ocean and the standard SO15 1HJ for Mayflower, but as I have repeatedly said, there are plenty of terminal staff and porters who will give the uncertain directions to the short stay car park. I guess the staff member now regrets the rude and offhand comments he/she made, but at least it shows that the chat line was human and not an inflexible chatbot.
  19. Ocean terminal only has one short term car park, so it ought to be easy, but try as I may I could not find any other postcode for anything in Ocean terminal. But maybe it's not surprising that the car park does not have a POSTcode, since who would want to write to a car park!
  20. That must only apply to suite guests, as Baltic tier Peninsular level passengers, we never receive a card at check in.
  21. When you find the specific postcode for the short stay car park at Ocean Terminal, do please let me know..
  22. My post was in reply to the posters demand for a postcode, as I indicated I very much doubt the short stay car park has it's own postcode, but Ocean terminal does have a postcode, and once you are there, it is easy to follow the signs to the short stay car park, failing that there are plenty of staff around at the luggage drop off point who will be able to direct you to the short stay car park, and many thousands of passengers do manage to find their way to the meet and greet location.
  23. I wonder if these are being sent out to non accessible cabin passengers who have previously requested boarding assistance. We have not had any for our future cruises, but of course being in an accessible cabin we have already filled out the medical questionnaire form.
  24. TBH there is not any more faff than P&O, their app and The Princess Medallion do almost the same things, and you can totally ignore them for MDR dining if you so wish, and Alfredos new pricing puts it on a similar footing to the Glass House and Beach House. As regards the Princess Plus, then IMO unless there is a 50% reduction offer then it's probably not worth taking, and Princess do at least have regular offers on Princess plus, which of course never happens on P&O. Otherwise the Princess experience is very similar to P&O, but a bit more upmarket, with more and better musical groups, and lots of entertainment taking place in the Atrium, instead of it being a wasted space as on Britannia, Oh and much superior customer service.
  25. I doubt that staff shortage is the problem, it's more likely to be IT incompetence that is preventing the booking system from working.
