  1. Yes you are being difficult, both Ocean and Mayflower have short stay car parks that are clearly signposted as you drive out of the luggage drop off zone, but I doubt they have their own specific postcode or address.
  2. The azipod driven excel class should be far more manoeverable than the older twin propeller ones, which is standard on all other P&O ships, except for Arcadia. What would be interesting is to compare missed ports due to high winds on all the excel class ships, Aida, Costa and Carnival, with P&O, to see if they all suffer from the same problem, or are P&O deck officers more cautious when playing with their new toys?
  3. What is the point of a customer service dept that does not know what is happening and why you cannot pre book speciality dining on some ships.
  4. There were quite a few children on our July 8th Sky Princess cruise, however they were all very well behaved, so I would not worry too much if I were you.
  5. I think it is probably part of Princess's aim to maximise the plus/prem package uptake.
  6. My team, the mighty terriers, are forecast to finish 21st by some soccer experts, or 8th by some super computer, I think on this occasion I will opt for the digital version. So your Dutch Decoy is not named after Max Verstapen then? 🙄😇
  7. You were very lucky that no other ships were involved in between, or possibly you were only on 7 day cruises,in which case your scenario could apply.
  8. I have to confess that I had never heard of Lizzo until I saw the fat shaming item on the news.
  9. I am not sure a dislike of Verstappen is purely a woman thing, I cannot warm to him at all either. Maybe as a result I am finding F1 boring as well, DRS used to be fun, but now it's way too predictable, and even putting Verstappen on the back row of the grid would not stop him winning.
  10. Our Canadian relatives used our UK TA when they sailed with us on P&O, but used a N American TA when they sailed on RCI with us. I dont think they experienced any difference.
  11. I have been reading using a library app on my tablet since the covid epidemic, and have no problem at all in falling asleep very rapidly afterwards.
  12. If you are all in the same cabin then you can all use the earliest boarding time. .
  13. The problem is possibly because P&O seem to be the only cruise line that cannot embark their passengers without causing them stress. If every other cruise line using Southampton can offer a painless boarding procedure, even Princess which also uses Mayflower, then surely P&O passengers deserve to be offered a similar service. Moley, having just cruised on Sky Princess I can tell you that they have equally as many car passengers as do P&O,. In fact we saw very few coaches either offloading or loading on return. Although there were 1000 US passengers on our cruise, there were only a few using Princess transfers, and even fewer UK passengers, presumably because Princess do not offer any free coach transfers. However they were managing to board everyone with only minimum delay while they sourced our medallions.
  14. Yet another good reason to switch security to the beginning of the check in process as is done at City terminal. That would enable security and check in to be completed and the seating area to be used as a waiting area until the ship was ready for boarding. This should speed up the process significantly, and enable security to run at a steady regular pace, without any hold ups.
  15. That is not always an advantage, on our last Iona cruise we were directed past the very small queue at the security entrance, only to find ourselves in a long tailback of top tier passengers, which was not helped by an over zealous official wanting to see everyones boarding pass.
  16. Disney is only a small ship, with only just over 2000 passengers.
  17. After spending a fortune on proprietary ink cartridges, I recently switched to compatible ones, and find them equally as good as the branded ones, and cost about 90% less.
  18. I only use 3 staples in each label and have never lost one in over 25 cruises.
  19. Do you know your cabin number yet, and is it perfectly acceptable?
  20. 2 formal nights, and they should be detailed on the CP itinerary.
  21. We just opened a box of Milk Tray our granddaughter brought us from holiday, and we were amazed at how tiny the chocolates are now. I thought they might have got crossed with midget gems!
  22. We just got off Sky Princess and the ship was docked and available for disembarkation by about 6:45. If you can get a taxi fairly promptly I dont think you will have any problem making the flight.
  23. Only just seeing this change, however it seems to me that Princess is just trying to get more and more passengers to purchase the drinks package, which I suppose is good marketing strategy. But of course as they put in more extra complexities, this may in fact have the opposite effect and result in more people questioning the value of the packages. We certainly could not justify paying the full price, so are only ever likely to purchase them when they have half price offers.
  24. I dont think I would be too worried about whether a claim is fair or not, you can be certain that the insurance companies will not be out of pocket with any claims that are made.
