  1. Also look at other cabin options, including two cabins for your family - going with a cabin which holds five really limits your options.
  2. Most free sites use land-based AIS info to report the ship position so once out of range, you have no info. As mentioned above, use cruisemapper which uses sat based info (in addition to AIS) to provide coverage almost everywhere.
  3. Did you actually try to bid? The min usually jumps to some min amount. The min does change, but rarely. You can bid whenever you want, unlikely to make a diff.
  4. That's fine, but as mentioned, if you want to move to a non-connecting, it will likely involve a reprice.
  5. It mostly depends on your neighbor, but, yes, it can be noisier than a non-connecting cabin. Typically, connecting cabins have their own category so you probably can't move to another type without a reprice.
  6. Other than the balcony discount, all other D and up perks are usually on board only (meaning you can't apply it to the planner).
  7. Gemini’s three-year world cruise surpassed 1,000 booking requests in the first 24 hours of launching, with operator Life at Sea expecting the voyage to sell out in less than two months’ time. That is according to Mikael Petterson, MD, Life at Sea, a new cruise brand launched by Miray, who revealed to Seatrade Cruise News, ‘Bookings are off to a flying start, with over 1,300 booking requests in the first 24 hours. Our team, as you can expect, are working long hours to keep up with this sort of volume and expect to be fully sold out within 60 days, if not before.’ What's behind Gemini’s three-year world cruise? 8. Book everything right after boarding at one of the venues.
  9. You can look at the current sailing in the app for info and kinda assume it will be the same on your sailing.
  10. That's quite unusual given the muster station/deck assignment. You could search the general area that muster station covers and assume a cabin in that area.
  11. At any specialty dining venue after you board.
  12. Not if you have early. MTD bookings tend to be at least an hour later than early traditional - if you don't mind eating later, you can still make 9PM shows with MTD.
  13. The RCI recommendation for CDC is a suggestion - what RCI enforces is listed (or in the case of yellow fever not listed) on their web site.
  14. The editor is back from a long vacation - a few bargains in there, mostly repos and early season Alaska.
  15. You'll have to do some math for that, but most sailings figure a bit after midnight 45 days out EST.
  16. Welcome to CC. RCI health requirements are listed on their web site.
  17. If you set the app to the current sailing (not yours) it should list the on board price.
  18. If you are embarking at the "alternate" port, expect things to be glitchy all the way till embarkation.
  19. You should be able to see the menu in the app - set it to the current sailing.
  20. You can get drinks at any time with your vouchers at other venues.
