  1. TA mention not allowed on CC. A TA may have group rates which are refundable (and perhaps lower than the published regular refundable rates at RCI).
  2. Day 2 makes sense. Assuming no event is taking place there and the weather is decent, the Aqua theater could work.
  3. Maybe. No, that is likely caused by someone putting a temporary hold on it. You should use some other TA site for a look at inventory.
  4. Try logging out and then back in first. Or, just wait some more. BTW, the arrival times are rarely enforced.
  5. Teach everyone in the family how to share a one device package.
  6. The effective date seems to be sticking to Thu/Fri. Short and no delas this week.
  7. Welcome to CC. Assuming you are talking about booking on the RCI site, look for a promo link at the bottom of the page which asks how many guests are in the cabin.
  8. The Royal Up bid denials seem to have moved to the day before sailing so there might be some possibility on board.
  9. You will have to search the MSC threads to find that out.
  10. In the cruise industry, ships have a 100% capacity when at double occupancy in all cabins. Full occupancy can be anywhere from 120 up about 135% depending on ship. The capacity reported is for RCG overall and not for RCI.
  11. Two things have changed- RCI upgraded to Starlink (which generally meant higher speeds and lower latency, especially on non O3B ships) and they have upgraded the network inside the ships (which helps connectivity in cabins and other previously poor connection spots). What RCI charges has little to do with the service.
  12. Because it has been known that RCI mostly cares about $ and usually won’t spend money to fix the issue. Now, recently it has gotten much better and not because of the upgrade to Starlink but installation of better networking inside the ship. Other than the newest ships even with that upgrade having Voom work well on the balcony is questionable. Also, on a ship you are the mercy of a wireless link that is subject to outages and/or slow downs.
  13. Temporary, as in your sailing only. We have had much better performance reports from Freedom. If/when we have performance like that on any RCI ship it gets reported here, soon to be followed by other reports that the issue has been resolved. Having poor performance inside the cabin or even worse on a balcony is well known and is a somewhat unreasonable expectation from customers. BTW, RCI doesn’t (other than marketing speak) advertise nor promise any kind of speed.
  14. Pre-cruise you book in the planner, on board in the app. Once you book, it should show up in the calendar in the app.
  15. That was very likely a temporary issue. Even the most throttled ships usually get at least 4 Mbps download speeds. Also, for most browsing, it's that latency that counts a lot even though it is also a bit high (usually less than 100ms -lower is better). Pre-Starlink, latency was running at 200ms at best.
  16. @Tuttsy this ^ - you are more likely to smell smoke from someone doing it on their balcony than from the bus stop. Don't worry about choosing a balcony location due to potential smoke, Biker, who is waiting for someone to weigh in with an exception.
  17. Likely in a couple of days. Set the app to the current sailing, not yours, to see the menu.
  18. The app, set to the closest in sailing similar to yours, should list that. Most of the other questions usually have answers in the app.
