Sometimes Azamara have pre cruise internet offers but not seen them for a while. Dining packages (not single meals) sometimes have onboard offers but only if sales are very slow so not something you see on Day one. Personally I leave everything and do it onboard, there’s no advantage giving them funds in advance. You will have to book your dining once onboard anyway

May not have them in every market although Black Friday is possibly now more prevalent outside the US than it used to be

I must be in the minority. I’ve no issue to be being given a “buzzer”. That way I can go to several places during the wait - particularly the Den - and frees up staff having to come and find you. It’s a practical solution. On Onward we had waits every night at around 1915-30 averaged 15 minutes the longest was nearer 40. The nights they’d already guessed it was longer we were given buzzers. We are generally happy with any table and waitstaff. The wait times were getting complicated as staff struggled to also fit in requests for particular staff. What kind of grated was one louder gentleman who crassly peeled off folding green items to usurp the system

I am booked through an agent but did the reservation myself

You can make one reservation for each restaurant pre boarding over the phone

Listen up - There going to be some changes around here…

I think we will be on with c600 on one leg. It’s wrong that two cruises are viewed as one to suit their system but the guest is at risk of not getting 4 reservations across the 2 venues. Fingers crossed that it does shape out ok. -
From Quebec to Miami (Oct. 20 - Nov. 3) join our voyage

Oh my goodness Safe travels and thanks for the excellent balanced feedback throughout your cruise. We may or may not be able to return the favour shortly -
Follow the thread back. My response was in answer to a specific question about a specific product which appears to have been withdrawn without notice

Very much a long weekend trip away ex UK. Could be very likely

Elsewhere someone has posted a menu showing the Rijstaffel was held on Quest in October 2023 at a cost of $30 each. They indicated it was outstanding and the highlight of their cruise

The short European cruises ( I’ve done a couple on Azamara but always 5 nights, never seen a 4) are very different vibe. They tend to be focused on events - as Odd says Grand Prix etc. I’m afraid they can also be “booze cruises” as some agencies in the UK package up cheap flights and focus on Azamaras unlimited alcohol in their marketing. Personally I’d do it only if it adds additional ports you really want to see but recognise that by its nature it’s a different experience. There will be no Azamazing event but they will try and cram white night and other staples into the short time available

Here is the information about back to back cruises it’s important to follow the terms and conditions or you will not be given it https://www.azamara.com/b2c/cruises/back-to-back-cruises

No you don’t just the % discount

Why. I couldn’t give a fig what others wear round about mr.

They’d certainly get more spontaneous late bookings from us if it was universal and not limited to onboard
-
It makes a mockery of the loyalty benefit - many people cannot commit to a future booking onboard given the rigidity of terms and conditions re cancellations or moving bookings for guests in some countries. But they can make later bookings via a voucher which are to Azamara's benefit. I found on one ship the Sales Person told us they were withdrawn when it turned out they were not, it just was he did not know how to process them or as (and I suspect the more likely) he kept pushing us to make a booking for a sailing instead DH thought it might have been behaviour driven by his sales target/bonus. Whatever the reason, maybe not many chose because they were not promoted.

You pay the cruise deposit and they are undated

Agree portion size is great. We also did a cooking class based on one of the menus and it was clear there were very good ingredients used. Maybe we’ve been lucky on our Viking cruises (including last one that sailed virtually full) that we got several extra bookings in Manfredi. But we were eating at 8 not 6.30

It’s so dated as well. How many people who are working remotely use a mouse. Why do I need a monitor if I bring a laptop? For many they will need to work in a relatively secure environment so IF they were using the ship’s monitor others cannot overlook their screen. How will that be accomplished I also thought the image on the PR shot was stupid - apart from lacking diversity it shows people in work attire at the networking drinks - are people really going to pack all that to work onboard? Those of us who remote work are past masters now at the “smarter top half” look. A bit more realism is needed on this one.

The Excursion Credits have that problem even in good weather when they cancel excursions for other reasons even if the ship is in the port. Its very disappointing when it happens Stay safe and hope for smoother sailings
-
Indeed it is horrible and clunky and worse still my cruise again vouchers I purchased onboard have all disappeared they were there until yesterday (where you pay the deposit to be able to select a cruise at a future date and be able to secure the loyalty discount even though you are not booking onboard). Hate the poor style eg use of lower case letters. All to painful to watch still

We were able to see the options on screen on our room TV. As it happened we were happy with that menu so we made no change. We decided to book two more and went about 5pm. No line and no problem getting slots. So works for some but not others. I think it helps that they can do over 100 chef table covers a night and they repeat the same table for 3-4 nights

In these challenging times anyone who wants to travel, land or sea, has to realise if they go with anything organised such as a cruise, things will change. None of us other than the cruiselines destination planner knows why choices are made, it’s complicated (tides, port space, government controls, advice of safety experts etc etc etc). If we really want to go to X or Y do it yourself, a cruise is not for you. If you’ve been somewhere lots of times before but you end up there again, so what, be thankful you’re so privileged to have opportunities to travel that most do not. Let’s just be thankful we can travel and that experts do all they can to keep us safe.
