Thank you for the information on QM2 and QA. I await the itineraries for QE in 2025/6. Does anyone have any information when these will be available please.

On QE last week at dinner a man at the next table in the restaurant took a phone call which lasted around 15 minutes. His companion was left staring into space. The Head Waiter was not impressed and informed us he would have a word when he had finished. As soon as the call ended the man left the restaurant. Why did he not do so when he initially took the call.

Would we accrue loyalty days as UK passengers if booking with a US agent?

We have changed cabins a couple of times in the last year. In Grills our butler moved our clothes from closet to closet. In Brittania they brought a rail and transferred from wardrobe to wardrobe. We will have the same situation in January but are only moving 2 cabins.

We have had a quote for the Nationwide account add ons which is very acceptable. So we have opened an account/. Thank you very much, I wish we had done this for our last WC.

We got affordable insurance for the WC this year. However, my husband is now 76 and this is creating problems getting cover for 108 nights next year. So far the main comparison sites will not quote and I am working my way through the BIBA list. I can see that we may have to rethink our plans. How do others manage to insure for such trips please.

We have Cunard Teddy Bears and Cunard Lions from the Vistafjord

Use a luggage company on Southampton there are several that service the ships/ We have used them to take extra baggage from our home to the ship. Another alternative is a storage locker again quite a few not too far from the port and very reasonably priced.

Deck 3 if usually used for fixed dining and Deck 2 for open sitting.

You can take out the rails in the wardrobes. Remove the hotel hangers and use regular hangers which will be supplied by your steward. I pack my clothes on aluminium hangers in polythene dress bags. This reduces creasing it we leave them in a suitcase for a few days. This will enable you to use the wardrobes as you wish. I store the hotel hangers in an empty suitcase under the bed until the end of the voyage when I replace them. This system works on Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria. The rails on QM2 are fixed.

Showtime on QE was 10pm in Japan but changed to 9.45pm for Alaska a few weeks ago.

We returned from QE Japan/Alaska last week and chose open dining. This allowed us to make the best use of the evening entertainment which would not have been possible if we had chosen late sitting. Dining at 7.45pm was ideal so we could attend the late quiz and then the show. We noted many late arrivals in the theatre after 10pm showtime from those who chose the later dining. This is our third cruise where we chose open dining, including the World cruise and as it suits our needs better intend to continue choosing this option.

We have booked on the second day as Cunard failed to release the 3 week cruise we desired and which had been advertised. We booked as a 14 day and a 7 day in the end to aquire a particular stateroom for both voyages. My husband complained to Cunard and they did eventually release the 3 week cruise and stated another 200 staterooms would be added. Did someone forget to release the button!!!

No, but there may be some available as you leave the ship. In Queens Grill your butler will provide one. I always pack a telescopic umbrella just in case.

We have travelled on Cunard with both our children. One at 5 months and one at 1 year and they became very avid cruisers. Cunard provided a travel cot, a playpen on deck as the Caronia did not have a children centre. Nappies were also provided. We left toys onboard between trips. We took a clip on chair for the table. We paid £10 per day per child. As they got older they had an early 6pm cabin dinner then story time and bed. It was a very relaxing holiday and great family time. Our son (32) stills cruises when his work allows it. He has spent 3 months onboard QM2 and QE this year. He has made great friends onboard and met so many interesting people. The time to buy insurance for this World Cruise was before the final payment was made if you have not already purchased at the time of booking. Cunard would then have allowed a transfer to another cruise. I understand your dilemma,.We have paid a substantial sum for insurance for this cruise and know it will not cover the whole cost if we had to cancel or denied boarding, but the other benefits meet our needs. I contacted many insurers on the database referred to above. Most were unable to cover the cost or if they could it was an exorditant quote. We eventually chose Avanti, but we do have medical issues. Friends were in a similar position to you and contacted Cunard I had sent them an article from the Sunday Times where another passenger highlighted this issue. They like us have purchased insurance which covers a sum they are comfortable with. All we can do is to isolate as much as possible, wear masks and keep safe before the cruise.

They moved all the Trivias to the Golden Lion after Singapore . The result was a very crowded pub including the bar. Even the 9.15pm quiz was held there. We disembarked in Perth so I do not know if it continued on the way to Sydney. The Garden Lounge was not too hot in the evening so would have been the better venue.

From the UK we use Cunard for air travel as they have the best prices for one way fares. You can state your preferred airline as we did last week returning from Perth. We were able to choose seats and add extra bags if required as normal. The only difference has been when it is a group booking to or from Europe when we cannot choose seats.

The Wipe Out Trivia at 7.30pm was held either in the Garden Lounge or the Golden Lion. I passed through the buffet and could judge how busy it was and the Golden Lion was also busy serving meals. It was not the best venue for Trivia at 7.30pm I have no idea why it was moved from the Garden Lounge as this was the better venue.

We returned last week from Barcelona to Fremantle on QE. The dress code became very casual after Singapore when 1000 Aussies came onboard. The restaurants were very quiet but the buffet busy at night and also the Golden Lion. We like Lissie have done many days this year (88) on QE Southampton to San Francisco and Vancouver to Barcelona and this was definately the most casual in the latter part. It will be interesting to see on the World Cruise as we go around Australia on QV if this is the case as well.

We rerurned from QE last week and changed from 2nd sitting to open dining as this gave us more time for evening activities. It worked very well for us and we have now chosen this option on the World Cruise on QV. This was a table for 2 and the Maitre D was very accommodating in placing us in a quiet location. At no time did we see long queues as it is possible to reserve a time slot and table size in MyVoyage.

I wrote to Cunard on 19th July regarding my concerns re the very late notification we would need a Travel Authority for Bermuda. They informed us at 5pm the evening before our flight out to Vancouver. I managed to apply for all 3 at home and paid. My husband and I had our TA's granted last week but our son had great difficuty resubmitting his vaccination certificates due to the internet. All to no avail as this port was cancelled, one of the reasons being so many still needed to apply for authority and the poor internet. All passengers whether they applied or not will receive $45 OBC. I await to see if this is 'refundable'.

We are on QE on the Southampton to Fort Lauderdale sector at the moment. Paying $20 for 24 hours internet out of my $135 allowance. However due to the time changes we are not receiving 24 hours, today it will only be 20 hours. By the time we reach FL we will be out by 15 hours in total. Pursers have had many complaints and await Cunard HQ to resolve this.
