There is not an option for one person because the minimum number of chairs at a table is 2. I travel solo all the time and book 2. As was mentioned above, if everyone wants to eat at the same speciality restaurant together, you need to call. You will probably get 2 tables for 8 next to each other...I have done this before for a large group. As far as the shore excursion credit, it is $50 for the first person listed on the cabin, not $100. You can use the credit at every port...it is not just a one time thing. I would suggest going thru this site for multiple pages or using the search function. Your questions are not unusual and are asked multiple times in a week. Also read the T&Cs on the NCL site for more information. Enjoy your cruise!

I was able to book the Elements show on Joy at 21 days, right after check-in. Hope you can do the same on Escape.

So now I have to start looking at this cruise. I also love that new ship smell and want to do Aqua in late 2025 or early 2026...haven't even gone down that road yet. Plus land trips to Singapore and/or Japan. Too much travel, too little time.

Again, I am the odd-woman out. I have had Verizon since time began and never had an issue with them. Bills are always the same, coverage is great where ever I am and I can use my phone internationally just as if I was at home (calls, text, streaming...no limit on data). I have the International plan built into my bundle so I only pay $10 a day IF I use my phone AND if I go a month without traveling internationally (which I do often...I am not @Sugar Magnolia) those months are 'banked' so I don't pay the $10 (ex: I hadn't traveled out of the country for 9 months last year...when I got to Dubai, my 9 days there were not charged the $10 a day as I had accrued 9 days of not using my plan). I also recently added home internet thru Verizon (finally cutting the cable) and it's fantastic. My son can do gaming and I can stream with no lags, buffering, etc. And it is less than half of what I was paying with cable. Of course it doesn't hurt that I have a cell tower within fee of my front door. Sorry for such a long response...I am starting to feel like Henry @mking8288 but not anywhere near as smart!

Thanks...that is what I thought but then sometimes I can't keep up. I did buy a Cruise First this week on their $500 for $250 sale that ends on the 7th. Planning on using it next year if I find something for the right price/itinerary.

Hmmm...I always have unlimited wi-fi and have never been able to text anyone on board a ship while my phone was in airplane mode. That was first for me. Using whatsapp or FB messanger is how we have always done it thru unlimited wi-fi.

Could you tell me how long it took to get a response once you contacted them? I don't arrive in Rome until November 4th so have sent a request for this tour but would like to book some others and not sure how long I should wait. If I don't get the SCAVI tour, then I am afraid others might be sold out. Thanks for your help.

Somewhat off topic but was wondering if you had any thoughts. On our recent Joy cruise (you may have read about it), @Sugar Magnolia and I were able to text each other on board with our cellphones. Both with unlimited wi-fi, both in airplane mode. Different wireless carriers and different phones (iphone and Samsung Galaxy). No one else at the table could do this. I know she and I have magical powers but this was a first for me. Have you ever seen this? No charges have popped up on my bill either. Also, I did not have any issues with posting on CC, posting text and photos on social media or using any apps while on the Joy. TBH, my phone works on the ships just as it does at home (as long as I don't try to stream anything, which I don't buy that package). I was down on deck 5 and used my phone extensively with no issues. Maybe it is my settings or I am just very lucky.

Puruse the first couple of pages of the NCL board and you will find lots of info (there is a dining tips question literally under yours right now). YouTube will also have some great videos on the ship itself if you want to get the lay of the land. As Mandy said be prepared for possible changes during Hurricane season. This is only the first major one and lots can happen in the next few weeks. But mainly just enjoy your cruise. If you have sailed on the other mass market lines they are more alike than different.
