  1. Thank goodness ripped jeans are only stylish for twenties and under. What about the pants worn way below the waist with underwear in full show? I don’t like it when people don’t make an effort in the evening. I at least hope they have showered/cleaned up so I don’t have to smell them. That really puts me off eating.
  2. Hope you can put up with those of us boarding in Papeete. We have busy lives outside of cruising with jobs that demand being in person (Surgeons, etc). We can’t do our jobs sitting in a ship but we enjoy getting away when we can.
  3. Keep checking, 8 months before your trip is too soon on Seabourn. We leave in two weeks and some ports are not showing any excursions. At major, often visited ports, they should be available six months before your trip.
  4. The CDC cards were sufficient for our voyages in December 22.
  5. Does this service just drop your bags at your airline or do they forward them to your home? I enjoyed the White Star Service on Cunard but you paid for the service.
  6. Guess the rest of the world is also having “ cash flow” problems!? Just walk through any retail establishment and note the signs by the empty shelves. Every business is having supply chain issues, not cash flow problems.
  7. We sailed on Azamara and thought it offered an excellent experience. We book at least the Club Continent Suite as it offers unlimited dining in the two specialty restaurants. We never ate in the MDR and just alternated between the specialties. We did buy the ultimate package and we’re always able to get excellent wines and other beverages. The White night party, the Azamazing evening and the chocolate party were all a lot of fun. The prices are better than Celebrity suites and they often have specials such as second person in suite is 60% off.
  8. In December they had light sandwiches around lunch and pastries later. It was usually crowded but there was a big demand for hot drinks since it was a cold December.
  9. If you look at the Cunard world cruises they will actually circumvent the world. You won’t hit every country but you do sail around the world. The Queen Ann, new ship, has a great 111 day world cruise next year if you have the time.
  10. There is a danger in sailing with Seabourn for weeks or months each year. Everything about the ships will start to be old hat. The menus will be roughly the same and the entertainment repetitive. We did attend the shows on our first trip with Seabourn but after that we just had a relaxed dinner. Quiet music in the lounges is what we enjoy.
  11. We absolutely loved TK on our last two Ovation voyages in 2022, never had a bad meal and we had them all. We didn’t care for TK on the older ships. It’s too small and narrow and always feels crowded.
  12. The themes for Gala night are only suggestions. Some passengers will go all out to match the theme but normal formal wear is fine for most.
  13. Don’t see the problem with the menu from the Solstice. Eight appetizers and nine entrees should be enough for anyone. Too bad there is no Tilapia on the menu, guess the complainers will be disappointed.
  14. Stoneharborlady should be more upset by the filthy plate her lobster was served on. The other half of the plate has sauce smeared all over it or was something else on this plate?
  15. Lunch in the Queens Grill is also included. They won’t stop you from going to the Kings Court or Lido. Never had a problem getting a lighter lunch in the Queens Grill. They will prepare whatever you prefer for lunch.
  16. We had a driver transfer to Penn Station and had no problem catching a 10:40 AM train on 12/22.
  17. We had a wonderful experience with Luggage Forwarding December Thru Cunard White Star Luggage Service. Bags had to be ready for pick up 2 weeks before our QM2 trip but they were in our cabin once we boarded. They were picked up after we went thru Customs in Brooklyn and at our front door 48 hours later. UPS picked up and delivered the bags. This was in December 22.
  18. No signal in our suite. On the port side and only one Q4 between our cabin and the duplex. We were five suites down from the repeater. Guess the door in the Q1 blocks the signal.
  19. Our QG cabin included drinks (up to $12), gratuities, and basic internet for one device. These are usual inclusions when booking in the U.S. Our suite, towards the back, did not have a Wi-Fi signal. Could use it in the Grill Lounge, and other public areas. This was on transatlantics east and westbound. You may prefer a different line if WI-FI is super important to you. This was on the QM2, can’t speak to the QE or QV.
  20. The main restaurant is still open on Keller nights. If you are allergic to shellfish that would be your safe choice.
  21. Many of the TK themed meals are family style. You share a larger plate of food like the salad and they will bring more if you need more. Was anything served with the ribeyes? Did they provide family style vegetables and potatoes.
  22. I would imagine if you are too I’ll or not fit enough for the YF vaccine maybe you shouldn’t travel to countries requiring the vaccine. We had ours after we were sixty with no bad side effects.
