  1. The only restriction in carry on bags is you, or your spouse, needs to pick the bag up and put it through the X-ray machine just like at the airport.
  2. At least you have time to cancel if you don’t want to pay the new rate.
  3. We had a great visit docking in Zebrugg. Be sure to visit Burgess, it’s a wonderful city and so picturesque. Of course there is also the best chocolate and wonderful cafes. Don’t miss it.
  4. Since you will be in the Retreat you shouldn’t notice any negative changes. If you prefer to eat in the OV for dinner you will notice there is less choice.
  5. We had wonderful lectures on the QM2 for our 19 day voyage. Who is onboard the QV giving the lectures?
  6. Seabourn does not dock in St. Kitty. They always tender passengers to a private beach for the caviar in the surf event. They also have a barbecue with unlimited lobster tails, steaks and barbecued ribs. Passengers that want to ditch the event can go into St. Mitts proper for sightseeing or shopping.
  7. There is little to no accommodation for folks with hearing loss on the cruise lines. Guess they want to continue to ignore this group of disabled passengers.
  8. No additional charge for booked passengers, no reason to complain or email LLP.
  9. Response may not be helpful to the OP but will be to anyone else considering getting lash extensions on a cruise!
  10. If the OP’s friend had done an internet search on lash extensions she would never have gotten them especially on a cruise. The procedures to be followed after getting extensions is not something you want to do on vacation, especially avoiding humidity, showers and soap. Many people have reactions to the glue and she should have had a patch test before the procedure.
  11. This thread should be retitled and put under the port, Seward. The train is not an option for any cruise line unless you want to take the 8:30 train. This does not relate to Celebrity at all!
  12. Luggage Forward is great and is still in business. They deliver your luggage to your cabin on Cunard but they may be available for other lines.
  13. We were on the QM2 for 19 days in Dec 22. There was a lovely mix of ages on board although I didn’t see more than 6 mobility scooters. Celebrity was more of a geriatric ward on our last crossing. I imagine the world cruise might have on older demographic but it certainly isn’t the case on transatlantic crossings or cruises less than 21 days.
  14. With the new, downgraded dress code passengers may dress exactly how the refugees outside the hotel in Manhattan. They all wore jeans and sport shirts so they could have easily dined in the Seabourn Restaurant. I fully understand the homeless encampment.
  15. In December the cost limit per drink was $12 U.S. Have they raised the cost to $13?
  16. Have you been shopping lately? There are still many supply issues so no, that jig is not up!
  17. Farewell Mr. Diamond, Seabourn will miss you. I don’t think your experience had anything to do with Seabourn Post COVID. It has everything to do with a stabilizer break down on a brand new ship and their attempt to get it fixed. I don’t understand why this makes Seabourn a discount cruise line or are you just having a “moment”.
  18. You may want to read the cruise contract you agreed to before you hire a lawyer.
  19. Certainly sounds like this thread is in error as there are no cutbacks in the breakfast or lunch offerings in the OVC. Another thread that should be taken down.
  20. I did reassure the OP in my post, i.e. that we have had no problems cruising and they should check the testing requirements for the cruise they taking as testing requirements vary.
  21. If the OP is really that stressed about the upcoming cruise, it may be too soon to go on a cruise. We have been on three cruises on Seabourn since July 2021 and the pre boarding issues are now much less than they were in the summer of 2021. Your ports for the cruise will determine any additional requirements I.e., no test, self test, or supervised test.
  22. The OP menus for the OV evening buffet look fine for folks who want to skip the MDR. Even with this list of buffet offerings, let the complaints continue.
  23. The moderator should rename ,e this thread. Passengers not washing or sanitizing their hands is not an Apex sanitation issue!! It’s an ignorant passenger issue and they sail on all ships and lines. Herad many passengers say they are allergic to the hand sanitizer. You have to take care of your own health and assume everyone has filthy hands who eat in the buffet.
  24. Just looked at the live Eclipse sailing. Doesn’t sound like the cu TA have had much impact on this sailing. Sounds like the food offerings in the OV for dinner are more than adequate. Luminae also seems to be offering great food.
  25. Just booked a return flight to IAD ( Washington Dulles) in December. Booking with United directly was $500 cheaper and it’s a non stop flight. With the savings we can get our own car to the Barbados airport. You need to check the prices before booking with Seabourn Flightease. The price with United also included insurance.
