  1. And today we walked 21,000 steps… up to 72nd, across Central Park, down to 42nd and Grand Central and back across Times Square!
  2. Hi, no we paid one person day 1&2; then I waited in line for over an hour to move our reservations because I didn’t want to eat on boat last night as we are in NY, and I didn’t want to be dining during sail away tonight…,! The guy moved both reservations out to later in the cruise and I stood over him as he typed lots of notes like “ BOGO”, “ will be 2 guests not one” and “pax has paid”… I’ll let you know how we get on!!!
  3. Yes, no announcement that you could get off and no one seemed to one where the gangway was.. we were sent down to deck 2! Even the guys at guest services were looking out the window trying to find it!!
  4. The shortest cruise was very enjoyable - up the Hudson and into Pier 88. We went out for dinner, saw very few other people getting off which I cannot understand… I mean you’re in NY overnight!!! 🤷‍♀️ Out of the terminal elevator and you’re immediately on the street on W48th just 2 blocks away from the jumping vibrant and eye opening sights of Hells Kitchen!
  5. We stayed at the Wyndham TRYP and had a superb tapas dinner in Ferry Street, which is only 10 mins walk away. Mompou restaurant- highly recommended!
  6. From Newark.. looks like it’s going to be a lovely day and a good sail away!
  7. Until Jan 1, 2003 it was 1 credit per cruise no matter the stateroom category or length of cruise. After Jan 1, 2003, an extra credit was given for cruises of 12 days or longer. After Jan 1, 2004, an extra credit was given for cruises in a JS or better. Conversion Jan 21, 2011 Conversion from old cruise credits to cruise points: If credits were 1-4, points = credits * 7 + 1 If credits were 5-7, points = credits * 7 + 3 If credits were > 7, points = credits * 7 + 13 Double points for solo started Oct 2013
  8. Just waiting for the “ I only booked this cruise to go to Halifax” whines! Whereas we look on it as a free nights hotel accommodation in central Manhattan!!! Winner winner chicken dinner!
  9. Apparently our cruise was mentioned on Good Morning America this morning! The weather girl said something like “ well that ships not sailing…” We are all waiting with baited breath! Magical mystery tour
  10. So Vision leaving Baltimore also on Thursday doing CNE itinerary has been totally rerouted down to Cape Canaveral and PDCC.
  11. I’ll chip in with comments too if I may! Having come rather a long way for this cruise; my thinking is they will skip Halifax and get to Greenland asap.., if time allows could we even get round to the east coast and Prinz Chtistian Sund 🤞 then rearrange the ports to get back. The wording of the email that was sent out today implies something is already in planning stages …”will contact you and your travel partner directly by September 13th, 2023once details are finalized.”. Additionally others have had their rib excursion in Nano already cancelled .. and as @Ourusualbeach posted earlier… having excursions cancelled is usually the first big clue! Interestingly DH has that trip booked but not cancelled (yet!)
  12. Cannot prebook. Just turn up ! They run regularly
  13. RCI shuttle $10pp or the #90 local bus 🚌 https://www.roamingrequired.com/ravenna-train-station-to-porto-corsini-by-bus/
  14. 23/8 4n Amsterdam 27/8 3n Zebrugge 30/8 4n Amsterdam 3/9 5n Amsterdam & Zebrugge 8/9 6n acoruna/ Bilbao / Bordeaux 14/9 5n Amsterdam & Zebrugge 19/9 4n Amsterdam 23/9 6n acoruna/ Bilbao/Bordeaux
  15. Not 2025 but 2024, Virgin just announced that they will be doing a few cruises from Portsmouth on Resilient Lady. 27/8/24 3n Zebrugge and back from £499pp incl $125 bar tab allowance for a Sea Terrace ( which I guess is Virgin speak for a balcony!)
  16. You were ripped off because you hadn’t done any research as to what prices should be: and you hadn’t prebooked a transfer. They saw you coming. Your experience is not indicative of what usually happens to the thousands of others who disembark in Civ each day.
  17. Disney are advertising quite a bit on our local radio with cruises from Southampton On Disney Dream. Out of curiosity I had a look at the prices … £2689 for 2 in a balcony for 4n in August. Makes RCI look cheap!!
  18. Or making the announcement stops people wondering and panicking what the helicopter noise is; and stops 2000 cabins phoning Guest Services ? @robmtx what is American for tannoy 📢 ??!
  19. You can get transfers in Civ to FCO via RCI. It was about $95pp. Or there are numerous drivers at the port gates advertising shared busses to FCO for about $50pp. Or you book a driver via CivitavecchiaCabServices for about $150 for a van. The guy ^^ was totally ripped off. And his experience is not representative of what happens in Civ for every other passenger.
  20. why don’t you get the $$ out in readiness in the time between ordering wine and wine delivery 🤷‍♀️
