  1. Yes we did this a few years ago. Rented a car from near the station; drive to beyond Lunenberg so we could catch the ferry at LeHave - had lunch in Lunenberg, then to Mahone Bay, skipped PC, then to the Titanic. Dropped car off then went for a beer. Note: we did have a late departure from Halifax - around 9p I think so we were not rushed. Next month we are planning on going straight to PC then back via the lighthouse coast route, to the Titanic but we have to be back on board by 4:30. Car rented from Avis in Hollis St. If you want to see Lunenberg then s4 of The Sinner starting Bill Pullman was shot there
  2. Great start! We priced up this cruise when it first went on sale and I’m sure it was $2400 for 2 in a balcony! Should have booked!!! Instead we are on her for just 5n next February. Is Hot Pot an included restaurant? Will be interesting to know the loyalty numbers on board? Thanks
  3. Assuming you’re American - you will need UK ETA and then an ETIAS to visit Schengen countries. At some undetermined date in the future.
  4. ETIAS: There is no start date yet. It only costs €7pp so it’s hardly a deal breaker and far cheaper than the $21 the USA ESTA costs! It Will be free for over 70’s and under 18s. UK ETA: starting November but for some Middle Eastern counties residents only. No dates yet for other counties to be added. It will cost £10pp which is only $13 so again; far cheaper than ESTA!
  5. The pitcher with the pale blue thumb handle clearly says “skim” on it for skimmed milk. I just look for the blue one.
  6. Sadly Prins Christin Sund is not on the itinerary as that is on the eastern side There is a huge RC of over 500 for the 9/14 Jewel cruise on Mr Z’s site with dozens of links to videos etc so you can see the ruggedness and how undeveloped it is.
  7. The language and some of the words used in that thread are hysterical… but then again it was on the Cunard boards 🤷‍♀️
  8. What is a torch in the USA?? 😳 Scared to google it! 🫣 asking for a friend…
  9. I would recommend staying near the St Lucia train station.. If possible near the Guglie Vaporetto stop. You fly into VCE and you can then catch the Alilaguna Orange (Arancio) boat from the airport direct to Guglie and your accommodation! The only way to arrive in Venice is by boat! I say if you’re going to Venice then stay in Venice and not in Mestre which is soulless! There are many excellent authentic restaurants on the pavement between Guglie and Tre Archi Vaporetto stops. Little supermarkets and a great bakery. On cruise day; you can then walk ( wheel your luggage) over the “glass” bridge outside the train station to Piazzale Roma and catch the People Mover to Tronchetto where the RCI reps will meet you and direct you to the coach. Hope this helps!
  10. Keep the Port side; breakfast on the balcony in the sunshine!
  11. 4 per person per day. Does not carry over to the next day so if you don't use them you lose them! Make sure you call C&A to get a loyalty membership number for each of you.
  12. We don’t tend to use tumble dryers in England!! They are considered too expensive! I use mine for towels and sheets only! Can’t stand rough towels! Worried about our clothes shrinking in USA dryers!
  13. Agree! It wasn’t popular in Europe at all. The food gave you indigestion and the restaurant was always empty - whereas the bar area with the fabulous band was always packed!
  14. Ravenna to Barcelona so lots of Europeans on I expect wanting to watch proper ⚽️
  15. My Arsenal mad friend is going on Enchantment the following day … her first cruise… I wonder🤔 whether she’s realised about the signal ( or lack of!) 🤫 So please let us know how you get on!!
  16. So how much exactly comes from a cow 🐄?! Looks like a load of chemical additives to me.
  17. Sorry but it isn’t the same as those little uht tubs
  18. Very rarely which is why we were so excited by this one … and now deflated!
  19. I’d like to know what “other countries” it is “popular” as it certainly isn’t in coffee aficionado nations like France, Spain, Italy or Australia. or Jamaica.
  20. And those funny coffee lid filters! Showing our age!
  21. Half and half is not available in either Tescos or Sainsburys, the largest supermarket chains in the UK
  22. Exactly - very fattening and unhealthy ! Cream in coffee always reminds me of the 1970s/80s when you were served it when you went out to dinner - a real luxury and a treat to a child! 65% of milk sold here is skimmed.
  23. No, it half cream/ half full fat milk 🥴… and even worse it comes in little uht cartons so it isn’t even fresh stuff!! Best avoided!
