  1. If Joff is on the WC I wonder who will take over from him on Ovation as Brian Leavitt will be on Brilliance sept-January so will be due a holiday! Who else does Australia?
  2. Some price codes are for new bookings only. They have various price codes. The cheapest is always shown on the website but you have no way of knowing restrictions behind it.
  3. Reminds me of an American lady on a bus in Sorrento, saying how the Italians couldn’t make coffee and she couldn’t wait to get back to a Starbucks…🤦‍♀️
  4. I hope not! Leave her with the champagne bar and slide free!
  5. I had a random look at rentals at the cheaper end of the market in my town ( not London but lots of very old buildings) and every rental had a washing machine.
  6. @GTJ - pretty much any house or apartment you rent in England would have a washing machine or space and plumbing so you can put your own in! Dryers aren't used much here because of the operating costs.
  7. On a social site, a lady who has just got off Odyssey in Rome says how several staff on board, including NextCruise, told her that Odyssey is coming to Southampton in ‘25. We can live in hope.
  8. Harmony did 2 short revenue cruises before leaving for Barcelona, and Ovation did a few before going to the Far East. Talk about dangling a sparkling sweet in front of you then taking it away!!! This is what you could have won…. But here is Independence back again instead!! 😿
  9. https://www.ttgmedia.com/news/new-royal-caribbean-ship-icon-of-the-seas-to-debut-in-the-uk-in-2023-33617 or not. I suspect that Mr B has already reneged on his promise given that its July already and Icon has to be in Florida for her first sailings in January… not a good idea to showcase a “outside” ship in Southampton in December!! Utopia launches July so yes, perhaps she could do a drive by launch event in June. Definitely no revenue sailings on either ship.
  10. There you go @cublet … a debate about flannels…!!
  11. I’ve always had flannels in my cabins. Been on 6 MSc cruises.
  12. You get flannels ( wash cloths) on MSC! Italians would shudder in horror at the concept of “ half and half”!!!
  13. Given that the point of travel is to understand and embrace other cultures.. I have no issues in listening to a few other languages.. it helps me understand a few words. I couldn’t say “ deck” in French Spanish or Italian until I’d been on MSC ! Food does not have to be eaten with your fingers out of plastic containers at a rush… you can sit and use knives and forks, and take a few glasses of wine to enjoy your meal. Their pizza and home made mozzarella is the best. MSC accepts and embraces the differences in our cultures. It’s a big world out there. Obviously not in your world though.
  14. I obviously don’t buy anything! I don’t do Spas either. I’m used to the VAT on European sailings
  15. I know about the up charge for these items. I did not know they charged an additional service charge on the up charge - it never crossed my mind. I’ve never ordered it. I’m only Pinnacle but you learn something every day!
  16. The MDR menu does not mention an additional service charge on the lobster 🦞 or steak 🥩… I did not know this. That’s a bit cheeky!
  17. I don’t care so long as my 100 shares keeps giving me obc every sailing! Looking at the profit is kinda nice though!
  18. It’s not only The Grinch… but now RCI cancelled Christmas 🎄!!! Bah humbug!
  19. I was on a few weeks ago and don’t recall seeing this. Will be on again for that last sailing. Ask someone on one of the upcoming roll calls to check?
  20. Cupcake 🧁 class $41.29 … all it says is “nominal fee applies” Be aware!
