So; after doing Cayman transportation for free ( also known as walking); Cartagena for $15, and Huatalco for free, it was now time for a cheap day in PV.** Walk out of the port and you are on the main road opposite Walmart/Sam’s. Busses will be heading into town. They say Centro. The fare is 20pesos for 2 ( that’s $1.11 or £0.88p!). It’s a long bus ride, close to 25 minutes. We got off just over the Rio Cuale. Walked around and then started back along the Malecon. The further you got away from the main area, the nicer it got. We have not been to PV for 19 years. It sadly has definitely lost its character and charm. We stopped for lunch and beer, walked done more and caught the bus back. Another 20 pesos. A quick trip round the huge Walmart then back on board. At $2.22 this was a bargain! We noticed on boarding a smell of fresh paint! The scratch marks had been painted over!

The coach goes from BLQ but there is a high speed rail shuttle between the train station and the airport. There are very few taxis in Ravenna

Went to Samba a few days ago. Whilst most of the meat was good ( 2 of the cheaper steaks were ropey compared to the final filet) - we were very disappointed in the side offerings; rice, beans and some fried stuff. What really would have been nice to compliment the meat was a large crisp salad 🥗 imho. The small goats cheese and tomato started was delicious. This was the 2nd of our BOGO pre purchased for one person, before the cruise, and then the date moved several times on board. They didn’t bat an eyelid and we were presented with $0.00 bill as expected.

We walked to the little inland village of La Crucecita. There is a wide path, lined with trees, flowers, lights and benches. It’s about a 10 min stroll over the slight hill. You find the start of the Corridora Touristica opposite the Holiday Inn just next to the pink building. A little village with a square, church, tourist restaurants and shops. It was very busy with families so I’m guessing May 1st is a holiday here too. We walked back to the beach, it was hot, beer time! Swam, had lunch, and swam some more. The water was very warm. Joined in port by the NCL Sun. Many crew were enjoining beach time too as it was so close and accessible Even our Captain went paddle boarding

Oasis has so much unusable space in the hissing rain … essentially Boardwalk and Central Park are out which excludes huge areas forcing over crowding elsewhere. And all the plants 🌱 would die ! Dislike Freedom class intensely due to lack of visibility of the sea and that closed in shoebox of a Royal Promenade.
