  1. We have sailed over Halloween in 2021 and there were a number of passengers wearing costumes, carved pumpkins in the Piazza and various decorations. Also a lot of face masks had Halloween type themes.
  2. The issue could be that this sale states that it is for new bookings only, so in order to get the promo your TA likely needs to cancel and rebook you. They can create a new booking for you to verify if that would save you money ( not all sales do) and tell you what the new price would be. If you like the new price you can cancel the original booking and keep the new one.
  3. You won’t be able to see the menus in the app until you are on the ship, and even then sometimes they won’t show up. I have found the menus work better on your stateroom TV. Pre-cruise you can use the app to make dining reservations but you won’t be able to see main dining room menus.
  4. The Eclipse cruise is still available, go to princess, then select plan a cruise and select the filters : Discovery Princess, 10 day, Mexico, April 2024. only inside cabins and Deluxe Balcony are currently available to book.
  5. You cannot book the Princess Plus fare for just one person but you can purchase a drink package for just one person in the cabin.
  6. Yes- you will all use the same log in information of the person who purchased the device.
  7. The Casino makes payment about 14 days prior to sailing. To make sure the booking doesn’t cancel for non-payment they add a code to protect the booking. It sounds like the Casino protection (added by casino) wasn’t in place - so the booking cancelled. The code can inadvertently be disabled if you make EZair reservations and don’t notify the casino so they can make sure the booking is still protected. It can also happen if there was an error when the booking was created or if there is a computer glitch. Call the Casino desk and let them know the booking cancelled. They will be able reactivate/restore the booking for you.
  8. They will either be on the wall or in the drawer of the vanity depending on the ship.
  9. It won’t be a problem, show up at the port with your Covid Vaccination card or proof of negative self test, Credit card and passport ( I would also bring travel summary) and proceed to the Blue Lane. Princess has reps there to enter your information and print your medallion.
  10. Yes, you will be given a list of cabin categories you are eligible to bid on. As for notification I have no first hand knowledge but there have been posts on this thread indicating that people who bid on multiple cabin types received an email for each of the declined offers and a separate email on the accepted offer.
  11. There will be no problem checking in/ boarding separately.
  12. Similar happened with my bid offer. I am booked in an aft balcony on Caribe ( BD) and was offered the opportunity to bid on a premium balcony - the only available are all on Caribe ( technically all higher categories but essentially the same cabin in “better” location). I didn’t bid on that category, because essentially I could be assigned the exact same cabin type a few doors away. I suppose someone might choose to bid in that situation if the possibility of being closer to midship was important. Maybe the 3rd party vendor may still figuring out how the categories work?
  13. Canned soda is available for purchase onboard and you get a 25% discount if you have the Plus package. As mentioned by previous posters you can also pre-order cans of soda in your cruise Personalizer under Beverage Packages ( this does not get the 25% discount mentioned above) or you can bring on a 12- pack of soda at Embarkation. We have also been able to bring on additional cans when we stop at various ports. also the 15 drink per day limit is related to alcohol. Any beverages such as soda, juice, small bottles of water, specialty coffee or teas do not count toward the daily limit.
  14. I would call the main Princess number. They will then need to transfer you to the correct department. Emailing can take weeks if not months for a reply which could impact your ability to file a dispute with your credit card if you aren’t able to get things straightened out directly with Princess.
  15. I haven’t seen any Black Friday specials on stand alone drink packages.
  16. @Coral I think they have Nikon but I haven’t looked closely in the last year so they may have changed what they carry.
  17. I have seen cameras, some accessories and GoPro devices. Also, not electronic but they sell binoculars as well.
  18. You cannot use OBC to purchase Princess Plus since that is a fare type. You can upgrade before sailing and would pay the increase fare ( with cash/credit not OBC). Once onboard you can use OBC to purchase WiFi or drink packages and your daily crew appreciation or any other onboard purchases will be deducted from any available OBC.
  19. I have seen it in the main dining room. They also serve it in Bistro Sur La Mer with or without tuna.
  20. @dave_k58 log into Princess.com, click on booked guests, click on access cruise Personalizer, click on your booking ( if you have more than one). You want to get to the main page that says summary, check in, excursions etc across the top. Once on this page scroll toward the bottom of the page and you will see the bid button or try this link https://upg.plusgrade.com/marketing/partner/RNo2BO4VPCL
  21. You can go into your Personalizer for this cruise to see if you can bid or ask your TA to check your booking. You will find the link by scrolling down the page. Clicking on this box will take you to a place where you can check your eligibility.
  22. Unfortunately sometimes even when the booking is marked no upgrade the cabin is still upgraded by Princess.
