  1. Leave something on the chair you will recognize and take notice of the general area you are in. If concerned about leaving something like a book or bag unattended bring a bright colored ribbon you can tie to one if the lounge chairs.
  2. When you call room service to request the trade let them know you want one package loaded on your card and one on your sisters card and give them her name and cabin number.
  3. Sometimes if the casino department is too busy the calls default to the regular Princess Reps. If you end up getting a regular rep ask them if they can look at the Special Services on your booking- that’s where they will find the free play listed, If they see it on the booking you can ask them to email you a copy of the Special Services so you have it for your records.

  6. When thinking about the 72 hours I would use 11:00 am as your embarkation since that typically is the time the ship starts boarding. You are taking the test in good faith and Arrivecan isn’t going to go in and specifically see what time Medallion has you boarding ( neither is Princess since they have been using three days rather than 72 hours for quite some time). That said, the simplest thing is to use an antigen test like Binaxnow purchased through Emed.com https://www.emed.com/ Or from Optum https://store.optum.com/shop/category/tests-devices/covid-19-home-tests/?brand[0]=Abbott and test at home with results in 15 minutes. This way you can test as close to departure as you like, You need to have a working camera and microphone in order to have the test conducted over the internet. Edit- I just saw another post saying that Canada requires rapid antigen tests to be completed within 2 days of departure so be sure to verify current requirements 😄
  7. Non refundable OBC will be used before refundable. Pre-purchased OBC & Gift card OBC is refundable and anything remaining will be returned in the form of a check sometime after the cruise ends.

  9. After Sept 6 if your Caribbean cruise is less than 16 days and you are vaccinated no test is required. Upload your Covid vaccination card in the Medallion app and also bring it to the cruise terminal to show at check in. here is the link to the Princess FAQ https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/vaccine-testing-requirements/ Covid rules may change before your sailing so you may want to check the Princess website for any changes a couple of weeks prior to your voyage.
  10. Your TA can decline the upgrade for you and hopefully get your cabins back. Did you look online to see if the cabins are still showing as available? If so it should be easy for the TA to get the cabins back. If they have been sold that’s a bit harder. it’s also true that even if the booking is marked no upgrade Princess still might move you for operational issues.

  13. I have seen guarantee cabins assigned as soon as the day after booking and as late as the week of sailing. Some people have reported getting their cabin assignment when they check in at the terminal. There is no set timeframe.
  14. For the most part things will be much as they were when you sailed 3 years ago as Princess seeks to return to somewhat normal. Here is a quick list of some things that may be different: The big change likely is that all the ships are Medallion Class now so you will have a medallion that unlocks your cabin for you. You will also have Medallion features (when they work) such as being able to locate travel companions in the app or on the portals or being able to order food and beverages from wherever you are seated through the app. If you have used the app previously you will want to make sure you have the current MedallionClass app to enter your information and become “ocean ready.” Princess has had staffing shortages on ships which has resulted in some onboard service impacts ( no pub lunches, crab shack or planks). No more free internet minutes for Platinum and Elite, now you get a 50% discount on internet. Some items in buffet, like melon and pineapple, are now served in small grab and go dishes. Beverage stations have been staffed, but recently I have seen some self service returning. The room service menu is now on your stateroom TV and you can order beverages from room service using your beverage package if you have one. There are different Covid test requirements for different voyages so it’s a good idea to visit the Princess website to find out if there is anything specific to your cruise. I am sure others will mention other things that may be different.
  15. Just glanced at your post again, since you are in a suite you won’t need to make main dining room reservations because you will have Club Class dining. Sorry I missed that in my initial reply.

I had an issue where I was charged for one of the meals we had reserved and paid in advance, I had the screenshots of the reservation but the rep also asked to see my credit card charges to demonstrate the charge had gone through. It was frustrating searching for this charge ( among the many other Princess charges). Just letting you know so you can have that ready just in case you need in onboard
  17. You should be able to input information into the app as soon as you have a booking. Dining reservations can be made after final payment ( or as soon as booking is made if you are Elite). For assistance you can contact the ocean medallion team at askoceanmedallion@carnival.com include your name, DOB, Date of sailing and the device you are trying to access.
  18. Your best bet is to just keep checking to see if the cabin opens up. There isn’t a way to indicate a desire for a specific cabin #.
  19. No, you cannot use OBC when booking Specialty Dining in advance of sailing. You can use OBC to pay for Specialty Dining if you book once you board the ship.
  20. You said it correctly there’s a few different things being mentioned in this thread.😄. Linking your booking is done by Princess ( you or TA contact Princess to request it). Linking let’s Princess know you are staying on the ship for the next voyage. If you were willing to accept an upgrade they would consider this and look at upgrading both voyages to keep you in the same cabin when possible. Requesting no upgrade, meta upgrade to next category, or any upgrade can be done by Princess, your TA. Assigning a Traveling With ID TW ID is done by Princess or your TA. This helps Princess identify cabins that are traveling together and is particularly useful when families are traveling together in 2 or more cabins.
  21. In medallion app they would show under Dine My Way when you get to the Speciality Restaurant payment screen. Although it has been hit or miss on these credits showing up in the App. In Cruise Personalizer your Travel Summary should list the credit.

  24. If you want to upgrade to Princess Plus to include WiFi, gratuities and Beverage Package, yes you can do this after final payment. Call Princess or your TA to arrange it- this is a change to your fare. if you want to add just the Beverage package you can add that in your Cruise Personalizer. however, unless you are traveling solo the cost of the Plus beverage package separately may be more than upgrading your fare to Princess Plus. Contact Princess or your TA to confirm pricing so you can make the best decision.
