  1. This is the way to do it- only pay exact amount. It doesn’t automatically convert to OBC.
  2. Yes, BUT your credit would be on the booking until Princess processes the refund which could be 7-21 days. It’s far better to pay the amount owed and then take the partially used gift card to Passenger Services and have them apply the remainder of it to your account as an OBC ( or purchase OBC with it in advance).
  3. If you overpay the amount would show as a credit balance and Princess would refund the amount to the card used to make the payment.
  4. No more menu provided in advance however the variations and selection of items served has been improved (in my opinion). I have been seeing different things instead of the same 7 items you typically use to see on every cruise (things like Chips and salsa, shrimp fountain and steak tartare). For example on Royal a couple of nights ago there were hot Cornish pastry, cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, dried figs, vegetables and dip and some desserts.
  5. Be sure to let Princess know you are on your honeymoon. Your TA, PVP or Princess can add this to your booking… you can also note it in your Medallion App (personal information and then go to celebrations). . congratulations!
  6. The “Best Sale Ever” promotion advertises it with the Plus package because that’s part of that promotion. Princess website details what Plus includes when not part of the promotion ( no OBC is included in Plus unless that is specified as part of a promotion). Here is the link https://www.princess.com/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages/hk-sg/terms-and-conditions/ All that said, it looks like the Op got the OBC. If it’s included as part of a promotion it won’t be listed in the booking portion that describes what’s included with Plus. It will show up under OBC. All OBC is combined into a total. Your TA or Princess can provide the details of the sources of the total OBC.
  7. Here is a picture of the $55 Tropical Bouquet we got on Royal Princess. It’s really beautiful and quite large for the money. Just sharing in case anyone has an interest in what this arrangement looks like 😄
  8. I am on Royal Princess and they have changed the protocol to trade mini bar items. Now instead of calling room service to request the changes your cabin steward handles it. I was told the change was made because room service is very busy with the Ocean Now deliveries. I don’t know if this is fleet wide or unique to Royal. Just FYI 😄
  9. If you have a Future Cruise Credit ( FCC) the Princess booking system will automatically apply this to your booking and reduce the total you owe for your cruise. Your TA is able see any FCC amount associated with your booking.
  10. Your TA can tell you where the OBC is coming from- your booking will have a list they can access. Did you use a Future Cruse Deposit? That could account for the $50. The other very likely source is if the agent booked you under group space they have held. At any given time there are various promotions being offered, including some that are unique to residents of an area. A good TA will compare the various promotions to see which one offers you the most benefit.
  11. The Plus package does not include $100 OBC. The Plus package is gratuities, WIFI , premium desserts and beverages ( as described in the language you posted). The Best Sale ever promotion is what gives you the $100 OBC. - this is separate from the Plus fare itself.
  12. Last night I sent an email that details the conflicting language in the Cruise Health Tool and the FAQ to one of the VPs at Princess who is always very responsive. This morning they responded that they have escalated this to the Communications Team. Hopefully this will result in the two documents being aligned shortly!
  13. I suspect you originally got a rep that didn’t know the most recent codes or didn’t know how to add them (maybe they were new). It’s actually very simple for TA or rep to add the code for what you wanted.
  14. I just sent another email a little higher up the management chain to try and get the Cruise Health Tool language and the FAQ to match. I think they tried to fix it with the 1/16 update. Hopefully the 12/02/22 Cruise Health Tool will be updated soon.
  15. Looks like they updated the FAQ 1/16 but it still doesn’t match up to what’s being said in the Cruise Health Tool! Hopefully they get it corrected soon.
  16. If the son logs in using their own credentials then they need their own internet plan. But sharing the internet access of passenger 1 or passenger 2 is no problem. When passenger 1 or passenger 2 logs in the system doesn’t care which device they are using. For example passenger 1 can log in as themselves using their phone, then switch to their iPad, then log in at the Internet cafe, then they can switch to child’s device. Each time passenger 1 or 2 logs on as themselves if another device is already logged on as them the system will ask if they want to disconnect the device that is currently logged on and switch to the new one they are logging in with.
  17. Options: 1) add Plus to 3rd Passenger 2) one of the adults upgrades to multi device plan 3) log on to the App as passenger 3 using booking number, name and DOB and purchase 1 device through the app. 4) once onboard log on to medallion.net using passenger 3 DOB and purchase 1 device plan 5) once onboard visit the Internet Cafe and ask for assistance in purchasing for passenger 3. 6) passenger 1 or 2 can share internet access with passenger 3. Only 1 device at a time can be logged in as passenger 1 & 2 but it doesn't matter which device so as long as only 2 people in the cabin are logged on at any one time you will have all the access you need.
  18. I boarded Royal Princess yesterday and the 50% Elite/ Platinum discount was offered when I logged in the first day. also if you email AskoceanMedallion@carnival.com they can help you purchase in advance if you have entered a credit card into medallion app and want to do so. Or maybe they can figure out why your having trouble.
  19. You can make reservations via the App, stateroom TV, dine line or you can show up without reservations and wait to be seated if no tables are available when you arrive.
  20. He should book as a single- Princess occasionally has some single supplements that are less that double occupancy costs depending on the voyage. Plus with single occupancy he will only pay one set of taxes, fees and port expenses. And since insurance is based on cost of fare, it will be less if booked as a single. If he finds someone who wants to sail with him it’s easy to add the second person to the booking.
  21. If you have a TA have them pull up your information in Polar and they can see all the promotions that are currently associated with your Captains Circle number (Princess or PVP can do this as well). My sister got a similar targeted promotion like this about 6 months ago. It was via email though, not phone calls, and the fine print on potential costs of the land vacation made it no bargain at all. It looked like something running through a 3rd party and it seemed sketchy because it directed you to call a specific number (rather than saying call Princess or you’re a travel advisor as most Princess promotions do). It was listed as an offer sent to her when we checked her captain circle offers so we knew that it wasn’t a data breach but overall the offer seemed out of the ordinary for sure.
  22. I am on Royal now. I don’t have a measuring tape but if you use a full size toothpaste tube that’s a great reference for size. The shelf Is about 8 1/2 inches along the two long straight sides ( slightly larger than a toothpaste tube) and about 8 inches at its narrowest. The toothpaste tube goes from the corner and the cap just touches the frame of the midpoint curve ( see second photo)
  23. Go to Princess.com and log in, click on booked guests and then click check-in. scroll down and select dietary requests: The select distilled water Princess or your TA can add a request for extension cord to your booking or you can ask your steward once onboard.
  24. Four adults in a cabin wouldn’t be something I would do but it sounds like you all have done it before and made it work so I will give some ideas that hopefully help with the logistics. Because storage will likely be an issue consider packing cubes- each person with their own color of cubes. The clothing can stay zipped neatly in the cubes and cubes can be stacked on each persons shelf or in the upper area of the closet. Zippered packing cubes with everyone having their own color can also be used to keep toiletries neatly separated and easy to identify whose is who’s. Keeping everything corralled in color coded cubes will help maintain order in the limited storage space. These are the ones I use and they work great, I just drop them into the cabin drawers or on the shelves and I am done! luggage can be stored under the bed to free up floor space for shoes. Magnetic hooks on the walls can be used for hats, tote bags, masks, excursion tickets etc - each person can have dedicated hooks. Have you looked at what the cost if the least expensive inside cabin would be? Perhaps 2 of you could be in the balcony cabin and 2 in the least expensive inside cabin? The two in the inside cabin could come enjoy the larger balcony in the daytime but then you would all have a bit more space. The price difference may not be that much.
