  1. Try the website using an incognito or InPrivate window. Generally the website only works wells for me when I do that.
  2. It was totally because of how hard he shut it. He pulled it closed behind him with the handle in the locked position! Don't worry, the screeching sound will be a warning lol!
  3. We had a crazy one-up of this. I enjoy sitting on the balcony in the early morning hours with a good book, some hot coffee and buttery croissants. I was doing just that on the first of 3 sea days on Infinity one lovely morning when DH decided to come out and join me. Using a bit of muscle (maybe more than a bit) he pulled the balcony door shut behind him with a very loud screech. Before I could stop him, the door was shut and locked with both of us in our robes and no phones. We were traveling by ourselves, so no one would miss us. When we stopped laughing, we realized our dilemma. After about an hour we heard our next door neighbor come out to their balcony and asked them to alert our cabin steward to rescue us. She promptly did so and spent the remainder of our time on board laughing at as each time she saw us. Needless to say, we're now super careful about the balcony doors each time we go out there.
  4. Pardon my senior moment, but I don't recall when or where I signed up for Go Green on my cruise last year. I can find it explained on the X website, but can find no way to sign up for it in either the website or the app. Did it only show up once you do your On Line Check-In? I seem to remember signing up on the app on all of our previous cruises but can't find it. TIA
  5. Call Captains Club. 800-760-0654. They should be able to fix it easily. Good luck!
  6. We have abandoned specialty dining on the M-class ships ever since they removed the Ocean Liners/Murano type restaurants from those ships. IMHO Tuscan is like a slightly above average chain restaurant that is neither true Italian nor a real steakhouse. LPC is not for us unless we were dining with our young grandchildren (and at this point they are too old to be wowed by it). DH doesn't care for sushi.
  7. It's always said that. I've always taken the bottle to the MDR or Blu if we're in Aqua and nicely asked the sommelier to switch it and have never been refused. The only time I got a no was once when I asked our steward. He couldn't do it, but told us to try with the sommelier. That worked then and has continued to work.
  8. I have always taken the wine to the MDR and the sommelier has switched it out for a bottle of Prosecco. I've been doing this for years. Occasionally I get a bottle of red depending on mood at the time. Also, we generally ask for a fruit and cheese plate instead of what they normally bring without any issues.
  9. We rented a scooter and didn't need to fill out a form. If you need wheelchair assistance boarding or disembarking the ship you do need to request that ahead of time however.
  10. NO! On the M-class ships the cabin is bigger, but not $500 worth of bigger! The other ships are the same size cabin and the amenities that come with concierge class aren't worth that much of a difference.
  11. Celebrity offers raised toilet seats if you contact special needs. Celebrity Cruises Accessible Staterooms | Celebrity Cruises Go into Manage my Reservation, then Before You Board, then Special Medical Needs and you'll see the following: Planning Ahead for Special Concerns While we don't require information about the extent of your disability, the more information you can share with us about your specific needs, the better we are able to assist you. 12. Thanks. I'm aware, but many don't give it a thought when they post on social media. Many people also don't set their privacy settings. CC offers a lot of good info and seems to attract many more experienced cruisers who have excellent info to share IMHO.
  13. The social media Roll Calls require users to post under their name. That gives information about when they'll be away from home as opposed to CC, where you post under your CC screen name. I'm surprised that the social media site Roll Calls keep gaining in popularity.
  14. I just called too. I have them both my Captains Club number and my DH's. He looked and told me that the correct total is showing on their end for both of us and it might take a few days to update on the customer end. 🙄
  15. Mine show in my points history since yesterday but still haven't been added to my total points.
  16. There are several production shows during the cruise ( a 7 night generally has 2 or 3). The rest are musical or comedy acts.
  17. Sometimes there is a late night (10:30) comedy show in the main theater or Celebrity Central (smaller theater). No reservations needed. Each night is a different show at 7 and repeated at 9. No reservations. There are different things around the ship as well like Silent Disco, and bands in venues around the ship which will be published in the Celebrity Today and on the app.
  18. The shows are 7 and 9 pm. Longer wait times (but not long wait) happen at prime dining times. We generally like making reservations for ou dining time, but change the reservation onboard if our day turns out differently than we thought.
  19. It's not just inflation. X and other cruise lines are trying to re-coup their 2020-2021 losses from the pandemic shutdown. Some of their choices however seem, at least to me, penny-wise and pound foolish. I offer as an example the ill-advised charge for chocolate chip cookies. They did realize the foolishness of this fiasco and walked it back. There are numerous other examples that have been well documented on CC.
  20. The problem with this thought process is that X is now charging higher fares than ever before and still "nickel and diming."
  21. My summary of the webinar: if the words exciting, awesome, amazing, incredible and cool were omitted the webinar would have lasted less than 1/3 the time. Thanks for the 5 Captains Club points though!
  22. You have to check the small box just above the watch now button for it to work
  23. I use a multi port USB charger and an adapter and plug it into the European plug and that frees up the 2 US outlets at the desk for other things like a curling iron and hairdryer.
