  1. Thank you for posting a wonderful GSJ, especially finding it was done with Covid. You're both in our thoughts, and we wish you a speedy recovery!
  2. The other "caution" is refare versus rebooking. Example: refare is where they just lower the fare of your current booking and everything stays put. For a rebooking, they cancel your current booking and do a whole new one at the new rate; thus all old incentives (OBC, etc..) go away; also, if you'd booked EZ Air, it would be cancelled, and you'd have to rebook at a potentially devastatingly higher price.
  3. When we went to apply our FCC's to 2 future cruises, it was ridiculously simple...both times; not sure what you mean by a tall order? the FCC is there in your personalizer and you just direct the Princess rep or your TA to it...?
  4. TA OBC depends; some is refundable, some is not...it depends on if they buy it outright.
  5. It's a holiday, so they are probably closed....sorry!
  6. If it has to be medically observed, that is the one I'd do. I've used them, and there's no sweating bullets over having them timely. If you don't need medically observed, then by all means use a home test. But don't come at me please. DPH was talking medically observed and I was adding a reasonable time sensitive option.
  7. Or you get the medically observed online. 15 minutes, $65, easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
  8. I don't think they've rolled that out yet. It's a February start. 🙂
  9. That is from before, and for planned resumption
  10. We did on that trip, but we will be doing it in November. We skipped it because we've had it several times on other ships and were impressed by Sur la Mer and Harmony so we did repeat performances. We also had Club Class which was enjoyable. You'll have an amazing time on Majestic! Her crew is top notch❤
  11. We did all of the above: WM dinner, Chef Table, Sur la Mer and Harmony on Majestic. We loved them all. At Harmony, we had the wonton soup and either lemon or orange chicken and the dessert with the boba pearls. At Sur la Mer DH had duck while I had filet. For dessert, his was a wonderful port; mine was the floating islands. Oh, and appetizers were escargot and lobster bisque: delicious! Both Chef Table and Winemaker Dinner left us impressed and amazed at the culinary skills.
  12. You got what Princess considers an upgrade.
  13. I emailed for a cruise this November, it posted 24 hours later, no questions regarding a cruise so far out...
  14. It's on top of what you've paid for the cruise to upgrade, and the amount you bid gets multiplied by two.
  15. Or, pay thhe difference on Princess for an upgraded room...just a thought 🙂
  16. We're in the minority; we like the two-tops that are close as we can talk to people and get to know them as much as they and we wish. We can also all keep to ourselves if it's that sort of evening. If you hit it off with your not-quite-tablemates, you can arrange to meet up for dinner again (or not😁).
  17. The Count-consort (sometimes known as the commoner 😉) and I like to dress vacation chic for a fun, yet sharp, first impression. The Countess 😘
  18. Interesting; the Princess price for Australia hotels was a tiny markup of what booking on our own would be...
  19. It's a lottery, essentially. Either contact the dine line or the director of restaurant operations when you board to get your name on the list. They will let you know if you are chosen. 🙂
