  1. I love when thin Dr's tell me to lose weight (for my knee) and then talk about how they need to lose weight themselves. Seriously, a man who is 5'10" and probably weighs no more than 165? Really?
  2. We don't either and the worst thing I've ever had was a sinus infection in Apr 2022 and that came from a cold virus that was going around the ship, not from my cabin. In 35 cruises, I've only been sick a couple of times and those were colds.
  3. I'm just confused why someone would think the water provided onboard isn't potable.
  4. People panic when Noro is on a ship, but it's less likely there than on land. Pretty much everyone has had it at least once in their life, especially as a kid. Just wash your hands and don't put your fingers anywhere near your face unless you have just washed them and not touched anything else. Use utensils. DO NOT LICK YOUR FINGERS. I never do, because I know better, but I see others do it. Use a knuckle to push elevator buttons-I've been doing that for years. Simple things can protect you.
  5. Not much if any cost involved the last couple of years they did them.
  6. They used to give slippers in full suites. We have a couple of pairs.
  7. Crew just joining the ship are required to wear a mask for several days as they're no longer quarantining (they do test them when they board before they check into their cabins and start working.) So, those crew you see wearing masks, some, (maybe most) at least, aren't doing it by choice.
  8. I think the cabins vary. Our cabin looked great and the carpet looked new (JS on deck 10).
  9. EN is out of Baltimore. Outside of the Bermuda cruises (summer), none are short at all. It's currently on a 12 night Caribbean cruise.
  10. We did a b2b in Nov. Love the ship, but the food was the worst we've ever had. Service was great though. We're going on her again in Oct/Nov for b2b Canada/NE cruises (20 nights total). Love the class and it was one of the cleanest ships we have ever been on.
  11. Nope. We've done 7 cruises since Nov 2021 restart and have only worn masks when they were required.. We also only have worn them on land when required. We've also never had the virus.
  12. 1)The drinks you have "purchased" with your vouchers will show up as $0 on the account section of the app. 2)They will automatically use them unless you tell them differently 3)Drink menus are on the app under each bar but you can order what you want 4)Sodas, juices, coffees (except at standalone SB on some ships can't use the vouchers) 5) You can use them from 5 am to 4:59 am so 24 hours a day.
  13. Well, as long as you realize just because they offer a category up doesn't mean it's actually available. It's really just a backup for them if someone cancels after final payment. We've been offered bids on categories that are sold out, so the reality is, it doesn't mean anyone is winning a bid for a particular category as there may not be any cabins actually available. Think of it as insurance for Royal.
  14. I don't have a problem with the new menus. I was responding to someone who asked me about repeating. I even said "Mainly because it doesn't matter to me" in the post you quoted. I think you need to read the entire thread to follow what I actually said and then maybe reply accordingly.
  15. What category of cabin? It makes a difference in the answers. I will say there are no outlets by the bed.
  16. You don't need to let anyone know. The LA knows and is the one that handles it.
  17. We never talked to GS about it. The LA knows who is b2b and they've always had a letter delivered to us in our cabin. Also, the issues are pretty much always surrounding the stragglers which is kind of dumb as there is literally nothing open on the ship after breakfast. Our last b2b, on Jewel, there were 4 people they were trying to find for a good 1/2 hour after last numbers were called.
  18. Does that mean Royal worked with you or you worked it out and can still go on the cruise from FL? If Royal worked with you, there are others on these boards who would be interested in what they were able to do.
  19. We have done 4 b2b's. One in 2016, one in 2021 and two in 2022. We had to get off the ship and back on for all four (Oasis, HOTS, EN, Jewel). We also had to wait a bit in the terminal for all of them. We also always have the same cabin-we won't book a b2b any other way. We have b2b's coming up this Oct, one in Apr 2024 and another in Nov 2024. For everyone, there has been a letter in our cabin a few days before. We have met in the theater, Schooner Bar and Centrum, so it varies by ship. It's pretty much always organized chaos as there's usually a few people who are late getting off the ship which delays the walkoff/walkon for the b2bers. We then walk by Customs, flashed our passports and then waited to reboard. One time we waited all of about 5 minutes and once (HOTS), we stopped three times to wait somewhere (promenade, terminal before customs and terminal after) which meant it took us 1.5 hours to do the process and we boarded right before suites started boarding. On Jewel, we were back onboard 45 min before boarding started. It's never the same.
  20. Well, since the menus are supposed to be on all ships by Feb and our April 8 EN cruise has the new menus I'd say you will too. BTW, lots of people have had their gall bladder out, including me and my DH and outside of knowing high fat can sometimes cause interesting results, that has improved over time to the point it rarely happens anymore. It has never stopped us from eating what we want. I'd say half the people onboard have had their gall bladders out. It's one of the most common surgeries, particularly in women. 12 to 18 hours? Everyone I know with issues from Gall Bladder removal have at most 1 hour before things sometimes happen without much warning. 12 to 18 hours is the normal amount of time to process food in your system. BTW, there are medications to deal with it if it's interfering with her life.
  21. Well, it does kind of defeat the purpose of streamlining the menus. If they allowed everyone to order "off menu" people would just go back to ordering their old favorites and it wouldn't have changed anything. Unless you have an allergy or medical reason, you're probably out of luck. I do think there will be changes and adjustments as they get feedback. We're going on a 12 night in April so we'll get to try most of the menus more than once as they do repeat them on longer cruises.
  22. How the heck is that true? Everyone starts at the "bottom" and works their way up no matter how much money they have. Geez.
  23. Louis Vuitton does that a lot. Coach doesn't.
