  1. Funny, I leave for Alaska next Monday for an 8 day ... same routine . My girls are 12 and 14 but don't take up much space.
  2. I too prefer NCL and was in the same boat. I wanted another European cruise but this time with my two daughters. I booked the Carnival Pride 12 day next year to Iceland, Scotland, and Ireland for four in an extended balcony for $3500. A similar 11 day on NCL was $10,000. NCL has lost their minds with their rip off cruise pricing currently and looking forward. That's a huge price difference that will leave room for air and tours. Carnival wasn't my first choice as I've also done Princess and Holland to Europe but there was no way I was passing up $3500 .
  3. Have you read the other covid testing threads that have discussed this extensively?
  4. Thank you as I skimmed right past it. That is awful and that's definitely a huge issue . Maybe even legal issue.
  5. Florida departures forum is where you will find hotel info.
  6. I've sailed many lines including Princess and Holland to Europe. I have the Pride booked for August 2023 for the 12 day Iceland ..... Carnival certainly would not be my first choice to Europe after sailing the others. However, being budget conscious more now than ever and having two kids in tow Carnival was the obvious choice when including the costs of flights. 4 people in an extended balcony for 12 days at $3500. Similar itineraries, length, and cabin types on all other lines were in the $8k to $10k range so there was no hesitation in choice for me .
  7. So you're saying if you're carrying a personal Tumbler or insulated cup with a mixed drink in it you're automatically drunk and stand out? Not following ......... Lots of people carry insulated cup/mugs/hydoflasks on board. I'm not suggesting people smuggle alcohol on board. I'm referring to purchased alcohol from the fun shops precruise for stateroom delivery. OP doesn't say which approach.
  8. I doubt there is a single person that cares about that stupid rule. You can order a drink at any bar on the ship and walk anywhere with it but you can't walk outside your cabin with the same drink because you poured it while over paying for bottle delivery to your cabin .... That would stop no one and I doubt it has in history.
  9. If you wan to go farther south you have to look at other lines. If you want St Lucia, St Croix, St Vincent .....
  10. I've found them near the elevators, stairwells, and on the house phones near the elevators and arcades.
  11. Huh? I doubt people have a piggy bank marked "money saved from not buying travel insurance in case I have a stroke abroad next time".
  12. Never cruise without travel insurance. Just because you've never needed purchased it before and didn't need it is no excuse. You don't need it until you do like your medical insurance. Read the travel insurance forum. You break a leg in a foreign country what are you going to do?
  13. Been discussed extensively already and we will know when told.
  14. Miami transportation and transfer questions are asked and answered here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/386-florida-departures/
  15. Virgin voyages my foot.......haha.
  16. You don't have to dress formal even if there is one. Legit formal nights (suit and tie) are a thing of the past for most.
  17. Either that it's an automatic and they don't know what that means vs a battery Quartz..... My watch guy says that's the number one issue from people that walk in and claim their watch stopped working. I've seen it firsthand in store.
