I'm on a Carnival cruise to Alaska at the moment and had to use the AriveCan to board the cruise. Just fill it out with your first Canadian stop and be done with it. They don't care what you have within the app as long as your have tour emailed QR code from your confirmation email when you embark. Nobody will even check your second port within if you can't figure it out. All this nonsense is just a formality and it's stupid.

I mean I get it but ....... YOU missed YOUR final payment date so it is on you when it comes down to it. I too would be disappointed though as well and that part is understandable.

Carnival Spirit to Alaska fastest embarking ever
tallnthensome replied to tallnthensome's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
We are on the 8 day itinerary with this morning being the first full day. Ship is clean and staff very friendly. I don't think we are at max capacity. Main dining room menu today for elegant is lobster and prime rib. Bar service is pretty quick . Music show in theater was OK last night. Still early on yet . Music in the atrium bar, rum bar, and piano bar was typical but nice. Seas relatively smooth .... will report more. Older crowd with few children . -
Embarked today on the Spirit today in Seattle with the wife and kids in tow. Even with all the vaccine, AriveCan, proof of testing mumbo jumbo we were literally on the ship in 20 minutes . I've been on plenty of cruises but I'm still amazed at how fast it was . Got there at 11:15 and never even sat down and didn't have any priority boarding..... nice Carnival.

Testing and flying in 2 days early. . .

Testing 2 days prior before embarking your ship to Canada. -
Although after final payment you aren't entitled to anything as they knowingly wait to drop the price after final payment date purposely. Call and ask .....

Oh, you're welcome. Interesting, while working here in Detroit every day I watch cars flow in from Canada through the tunnel and bridge into the USA without this nonsense but if WE go that way let the inconvenience begin. Sounds like customs just LOVES this silliness. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windsor/windsor-arrive-can-app-border-1.6527437

I literally just started and completed Arrivecan this morning for my family of four on my Android Galaxy phone. No issues so fear not. Download the app for Apple or Android. Take some photos or scans on your phone of your vaccine cards beforehand. Fill in your cruise information for guest one, you. Answer all the questions and you'll upload the photo for your vaccine card. I entered my passport information manually. Add traveler and repeat the process. They will email you QR code when complete. Took 15 minutes from start to finish so don't worry. I will still say this is way over the top for a four hour stop in Victoria where most won't even get off the ship including us. I will not spend ia dime in Canada with this unnecessary nonsense in place. The cruise already has all this information.

Yea, the ones that never leave their house and go nowhere I presume and never touch it. Every one of the hundreds of articles I read from Canada say its stupid.

Everyone here knows this already.......

I am booking the Steakhouse on Carnival Spirit for my family of four. My daughters are 12 and 14. They are charging my 12 year old at the child's price. She wants to eat as we are with the same adult menu. Are they expecting her to eat of the child's menu or can she eat as we are? Is there an upcharge at time of service if she wants the adult menu or is the price precruise what it is no matter what she orders from either menu for her? Thanks ....

Have the internet improvements already taken place on most of the ships since this announcement?
