  1. Imagine all the paperwork, possible covid tests, and ID needed to board your cruise and they let some random person walk on for a tour ....... um ....no .
  2. Yes, there's a million threads on testing and AriveCan for Canada and people are still pointing out. "Omg, you need a covid test to go to Canada, did you know this?" ...... um .... yea.
  3. Apparently someone has been out of the cruising loop for a long time.
  4. Unless you have a crystal ball no one can tell you how cold it will be but considering Santa Claus is in town I would suspect it would be common knowledge that it's going to be cold. What would you expect? I would only expect a couple days of nice weather on that cruise from that location at that time of year.
  5. Not really in the Caribbean as someone else mentioned. Not much to observe in there besides people hogging the couches and chairs to sleep or read on. Better served for Alaska and Panama Canal and even then we only used it for a few snacks and a drink. I would rather sail the Escape in the Caribbean and have .
  6. Australia and New Zealand ? Hard to pass up 11 days for two for $749. If only I could walk there on that offer that I just got as well but the reality of airfare just killed that dream,
  7. I'm booked with them again as well. Great value comparatively speaking.
  8. Don't count on any price drops now that the go ahead is in place for all to cruise with limited testing. My March 2024 cruise just shot up $1500.
  9. You never HAD to use Verifly at all. I didn't use it for my cruise two weeks ago. Brought my paperwork ....
  10. Do you always sail solo? I know over the past few months while many people including myself have been getting great offers especially during the birthday sale but you were not. It seems to be continuing this way for you still even though you have more carnival cruises under your belt. Is it always a solo cruiser thing that keeps you from getting the good offers?
  11. You keep spinning that same tune. I've done Alaska before as on other lines and this one was a better value.....better overall. Why would I pay triple to see the same Alaska and when I had an extended balcony ? Should I pay Princess triple to take the same photos or go into port or take the same type excursions? Sounds like you enjoy paying more for less with that proven record. Food might be better elsewhere not at 3 times what I paid. I'm a very experienced cruiser that has sailed Pricess, Holland, etc .... You can't tell me how to interpret value.
  12. I wouldn't even consider anything less than the premium. Pay for it and forget it.
  13. Yes, that's why I was happy to have taken it this year and getting others booked into 2024 before the price boom. Alaska prices will skyrocket. How could you not love these views . Best photos I've ever taken .
  14. Well, I also got off the Spirt 8 day to Alaska last week. Paid very little and got a lot for my money. Spectacular cruise with my wife and two daughters .... I could have paid double on the other lines and got even less so .... um ...yea. Saying this as someone who has a history of beating up on Carnival myself admittedly.
  15. Carnival pricing is way better than the other lines right now so Carnival isn't worried about people running to the other lines. My cruises booked with them are half or even a third of what the others are asking for similar cruises and I say this with cruises currently booked with MSC, NCL and Celebrity as well.
  16. East Coast departures forum for Bayonne parking and hotel questions and answers. Not Royal Caribbean related.
  17. You'll want to check out the ports of call forum for these ports and suggested excursions .
  18. Glad I booked Carnival to Europe next year and the Jubilee for 2024 back earlier this year with the birthday sale. Prices are now up $1800 on my Pride 12 day and up $1200 on my 2024 Jubilee. My Celebrity Cruise just jumped $1500 for 2024 as well. Whew! ....
  19. What do you mean difference ? They go where they go ....... I will say that going to Cartegena and Colon is much more important to me then the transit (locks portion) which was actually relatively boring to us while Colombia was great. To each their own though.
  20. Miami hotel questions and recommendations here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/386-florida-departures/
  21. I've done the full transit and you want to do Cartagena with Dora Tours there. Amazing......
  22. Coral Ocean World in St Thomas as well ..... Swim with Remo the Sea Lion. Amazing and fun!
  23. Baths of Virgin Gorda in Tortola and Monkey Land in Dominican Republic.
  24. Spirit had them on the balcony last week but mine didn't work. Wouldn't have used it anyhow. I would consider my neighbors as well when shining that bright light though. Why not simply get a book light?
  25. Please search the forum as this has been asked and answered hundreds of times already. You don't need to email anyone as the guidelines are on their website as well. Google as well ....
