  1. I mean I guess so but if I wanted coffee in my cabin I'd just cough up the $3 for a pot of it from room service.
  2. Glad to hear it! Everything worked out great for you - wonderful. Not much time for lee-way it seems though. If disembarkation was at the originally scheduled time of 7:30 and everything after was backed up by 30-40 minutes things would have been much more dramatic.
  3. Not really true. On Blackjack/fun21, you can bet a smaller amount+side bets as long as it adds up to the table minimum. For example with the $6 tables, a lot of people will bet $5 for the hand and $1 on lucky ladies to equal $6 table minimum.
  4. You will get a letter in your mailbox the last evening with instructions for where to assemble for self-assist priority debarkation.
  5. I agree. It's just that FTTF isn't worth what they charge (in my opinion!).
  6. You definitely have to know your prices beforehand. Definitely don't assume "it's duty-free so it must be a good deal".
  7. Good to know, it must be similar to iMessage in that it operates over ports that Carnival has to leave open for their HUB app to operate.
  8. Hopefully just a ship-by-ship thing...I won't play near as much with $15 minimums... Some months ago folks reported $10 minimums on their cruises but there were still $6 minimum tables on my Sunshine cruise around the same time. Maybe Carnival is trying to test these things on a ship-by-ship basis. I know just before the shutdown, the Sunshine's roulette table had a 000 position but tha went away during the restart. All these price hikes and cuts in quality, Carnival is really challenging the notion of cruising being the best value vacation.
  9. In the past Carnival had free and cheerful room service available 24/7 so no in-cabin coffee makers were necessary. Now that Carnival is trending more toward a barebones make your own fun type of cruise line, maybe they need to revisit this. They put refrigerators in all the rooms over the past decade or so.
  10. No kettles or anything with a heating element is allowed...you might get it onboard but be prepared to leave it behind at the pier unless you want to walk it back to your car.
  11. Wait, was "the drug sniffing dogs were cute" lifted out of Anne Frank's diary or was it a joke? I swear I've heard that line before...
  12. What happens if the company declares bankruptcy to shed some debt and the stock goes to $0? Very real possible scenario. There are a lot of ways to lose your stock investment even if the company stays in business.
  13. Double it and see if they still sell out. They should charge whatever people are willing to pay. I eat the included hamburgers and sit on the included chairs. Each to their own.
  14. Yes they're on Lido by the pizza station and Deli, but as of September 2022 they were not turned on. Not sure if they've turned them on since.

    Bimini question

I think there are different trams so you might have to transfer trams if you want to see the island. There is not much going on the island personally. My wife and I got off for maybe an hour. We're not big excursion people. I don't think Carnival will be going back to Bimini once the Nassau construction and especially the Freeport work is done. Just not much going on.
  16. No, Mardi Gras has one casino with a smoking side and a nonsmoking side. You're still going to smell some smoke in the nonsmoking side.
  17. Just always consider the source when you're soliciting financial advice.
  18. They know they're just inconsiderate and don't care. The smoking/nonsmoking signs are clear as day.
  19. I prefer aft or mid because most of what I want on the ship is midship or aft. It seems like every time I have a FWD room I'm walking the length of the ship all day long.
  20. It's really sort of sad that what makes a good Carnival cruise is no fights and only smelling pot once.
  21. "Captain and Pepsi" just doesn't have the same ring to it...
  22. sadly very true...and the "actively playing" rule is just as useless as the "no shorts in the MDR" rule...nobody says a word about it. The casino is more smoky now vs. before with the casino bar because all the smokers just stand around the machines.
  23. It changes all the time, they constantly move machines around the casino and swap machines in/out of ships. I've gone ashore in Nassau and that night when the casino reopens they've moved machines around.
  24. the price is the price with carnival in general. They do that so everyone is on an equal playing field generally. I’ll take the OBC no matter how small personally so I usually book with an agent. Even $25 is $25 I don’t have to spend for very little effort on my end.
