  1. I want to try the new menus - like you I missed them on the Magic. Not sure when I'll cruise again with the prices now.
  2. Carnival doesn't care where you sleep so yeah a lot of people do that. Can't answer your question about the room noise level but there's a lot of folks on here who love Cove balconies and can answer that. Just be aware that a lot of people are all gung-ho to go on a cruise until it comes time to pay. Speaking from experience.
  3. Not that many folks bring on disposable plastic straws, so the amount of plastic straws on the ships is still dramatically lower. The only time I miss the plastic straws is when I'm drinking an old fashioned - I miss the little red coffee stirrer straws. When drinking anything else (I don't do the frozen slushy drinks) I don't miss straws at all when onboard.
  4. Per the link I provided they're currently only applying stockholder OBC for cruises through July 31 2024.
  5. seems like it's faster to just go to carnival.com and do it than it is to make a post about it on cruise critic. but what do I know.
  6. In my opinion the food quality and service quality has severely declined on Carnival, but that isn't a 6 month thing it's been a steady slide since the COVID restart.
  7. Just put in Terminal F, if it's not F it'll be the one right beside F and it makes no difference to the Uber driver.
  8. So by the book, no, they are supposed to open all drinks served under beverage programs like Cheers. This is to discourage hoarding. But in practice many times waiters are happy to give you an unopened beer or can of soda. Just don't be surprised if some tell you no, they're just following the rule.
  9. It makes no difference to me. I've only bought Cheers once and back then you actually did save 10%. Let it be a lesson to you - don't believe everything you read. We all learn that lesson eventually in life.
  10. It is absolutely true that many of these greenwashed products take more raw materials and energy to produce than the single-use product did. A resuable plastic bag would be in tatters by the time it becomes a net positive vs. single-use plastic bags. They are profoundly wasteful. A windmill will never produce as much power as it took to build and install.
  11. There is no way to get 10% off CHEERS by buying up front, so it is false advertising. If a Big Mac is $5 and there's a coupon for $1 off, they can't say the coupon is "UP TO 50% OFF".
  12. That is what we would call false advertising.
  13. Have not seen Fox on a Carnival ship in years, and never recall seeing FS1.
  14. during the online check-in process you can skip everything until you get to the arrival appointment section. go ahead and pick the arrival appointment that works for you, then you can go back and add the necessary information.
  15. They have really diluted the value of FTTF haven't they. Wow, it boggles my mind why anybody would pay for it at this point at the current prices.
  16. It may have been they were only so popular back when a lot of cruisers had bonus OBC to spend due to the COVID shutdown.
  17. Supposedly the cabanas can be hard to get so I can definitely see the price go up.
  18. I make up for the needless greenwashing by refusing to reuse my towels.
  19. Not according to Carnival's FTTF pages. You get priority reservations. Per Carnival's website, priority reservations is what you get. Not priority walk-ins. Carnival does not leave tables empty on the off-chance a FTTF or diamond guest may want to eat there.
  20. This is the first result on Google when I searched "Carnival stockholder benefit" https://www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/shareholder-benefit You can use Google too - it's free.
  21. Acceptable collateral damage. There are ways for Carnival to take care of it if they cared.
  22. Or all the "my wife is a Mormon and I drink like a fish" people who think they're the only people in the world who thought of that excuse to share one Cheers package.
