  1. My friend who lives closer to the coast then we do sent me this picture yesterday. The bear walked between her house and her neighbor's house and then across the street. They are more common in her area then in mine. I would love to see a bear in my yard!
  2. I loved going to my father's parent's farm in the summer although Grandma chased me with a hot iron one time!
  3. We were really pleased when MTD started. While we didn't mind sharing a table with others (we did meet one very interesting couple and loved hearing their stories each night) the other tablemates were interesting in a whole different way. The main reason was that early dining was too early and it seemed we just finished lunch while late dining seemed like it ended just before bed. We have found that MTD is just like sharing a table since the two tops are so close together, however you don't feel the need to interact if you don't want to and you can eat whenever you get hungry.
  4. Here in NW Florida. Have no idea of covid numbers - just not in the news. Still have not had to wear a mask for over a year. High prices seem to dominate what everyone talks about. Most places seem to have adequate, although overworked employees. Have made plans for trips this fall. No cruises booked because the protocols we object to have not been lifted yet.
  5. There are granular "animal away" products that you can sprinkle around. I had to use netting around my eggplants. Some people swear by Irish Spring soap but I have never had much luck with that.
  6. There is no way to know. Since people test at home there is no way to capture that data. Not everyone who cruises posts on CC. There is just no way to get enough data to answer your question.
  7. At this time it is better to do the cruise portion first and then the land portion.
  8. Do people not have septic systems there? The testing might work in town here but in the county it is all septic.
  9. My mom couldn't swim either so when I was maybe 6 my father and I both took swim lessons. It was all going well until it came time to dive. I was at the edge of the board, the instructor came up behind me and pushed, the older boys got to dive to the bottom to retrieve the metal edge of the board that I ripped off with my toes. I never did learn to dive but I swim well. Many summers were spent all day at the pool. My mom would drop my friends and I off and come back before dinner. Big fun!
  10. I really don't see the problem with a ship having Paxlovid available for the Dr. to prescribe if they felt it was necessary. If Pharmacists can prescribe Paxlovid then a ship's Dr. should be able to.
  11. The FDA has approved pharmacists to prescribe Paxlovid.
  12. On our New England cruise we had spent 2 days in New York, walked the Freedom Trail in Boston so when we got to Portland we took a tour that took us out to an orchard. We just can't do too many days in a row of big cities.
  13. I think as long as testing to get on a ship is in place it would be wise to take the land portion of the cruise/tour after the cruise. Once testing goes away it does make sense to take the land portion first because as Thrak stated you can relax and unwind on the ship.
  14. I know. I will try later today. It seems she poses her tail when I am not close to my phone. Annabel's tail is starting to grow now.
