I will be departing San Francisco from Pier 80, near Candlestick Point. From Google Earth, I don't see any dedicated parking for cruising. As this is a 1-way repo cruise to Vancouver, where do you park, SFO and Princess transfer or Uber/Lyft? The Grand is returning from Aus/NZ. Will it clear extended Customs and Coast Guard inspections in Hnl stop or SF? Should I brace myself for a zoo-like experience? I have a 3+/- hr drive. If parking is an issue, fly in? I have United service close by.

Yes, you can check in at your muster station first. As you check in with security when you first board, ask them for your muster location. Watch the video at a bar, eatery or anywhere. Super easy.

Anyone stop to think that maybe the staff member and the passengers were related?? Brother/ sisters or cousins or uncle and nieces? If this staff member was doing something that breaks the rules, I doubt that you would have seen it as often as you or your sons did. There could be other reasons for this besides nefarious ones.

Maybe just on the "old" boats, not on the "new" ships.

IIRC, each seat has a folding table top that deploys out of the right arm rest. I don't know if this is true for all ships in the fleet.

Call Princess and order your water directly from them and use your card (verbally). Make them figure it out, it is their problem.
